Hey, I noticed you created this alternate account, so I've gone ahead and given it confirmed status - that should help speed up the initial setup. Cheers, m.o.p 06:17, 28 October 2011 (UTC)

Hello Tony
I read your page on PR professionals editing, and it seems like a sincere and transparent attempt to discuss some important issues. I am not a PR pro, but have gotten involved with Corporate Representatives for Ethical Misplaced Pages Editing in an an attempt to convey the attitudes and concerns of committed editors. I believe that the quality of the edits is what should be judged, rather than the pay stubs of the editors. However, I believe that COI is a real concern, and that behavioral standards including frank disclosure, are important to maintaining the integrity of the project. When it comes to disclosure, you seem to meet the standard very well. I look forward to an in-depth discussion. 174.234.4.22 (talk) 03:08, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for writing! Thanks for your kind words. Where should we have this discussion? How should I contact you? I'm Tony Ahn (talk) 03:23, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
Misplaced Pages and PR
Hello there, Tony. I recently came across your essay about PR engagement of Misplaced Pages, and there's a lot I liked about it. I too represent clients on Misplaced Pages, and this is also my secondary account, siloing the fun from the profit. Sounds like your approach is very much along the same lines, and I'd like to point you in the direction of some related efforts which have started just since the first of the year:
- WikiProject Cooperation, and more specifically its Paid Editor Help page
- Corporate Representatives for Ethical Misplaced Pages Engagement (CREWE) on Facebook
Looking at your Talk page, I see that someone mentioned CREWE to you recently, but didn't provide a proper link. So I hope this helps, and I hope you consider joining up. Cheers, WWB Too (talk) 14:00, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for the invite. I joined CREWE last month, and I'm aware of Wikiproject Cooperation. I've been pursuing a solution to the issue independently for a few months now, and have buy-in from several important stakeholders. Will be able to share quite soon how that's going. Hope to chat more soon, when I have something to report. I'm Tony Ahn (talk) 16:41, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
Rajo
Hi Tony. My opinion is that the Rajo biography is notable in Misplaced Pages terms. I feel like the paragraph that begins "In 2008" needs to be sourced out, or severely trimmed if all that material can not be found in published sources. You should attempt to identify his place of birth, occupation of his parents, and locate the high school he attended. I've made a few tweaks. It still has a somewhat promotional flavor and I'd advise another set of eyes to tweak things before the article is moved to mainspace. Best regards, —Tim //// Carrite (talk) 23:47, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, I've been working on place of birth and occupation of his parents, no luck. However, I found that his high school has a Misplaced Pages entry, so I Wikilinked and added the location. Also took out that paragraph you mentioned. It isn't super integral to the article anyway. Thanks for your suggestions! I'm Tony Ahn (talk) 00:20, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
Moved
I moved your request here so others will be more likely to see it. And i've left a response. Silverseren 00:12, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
- Hey thanks! Will respond there. I'm Tony Ahn (talk) 00:20, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
- Left a question for you there. Silverseren 01:08, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
Article move completed
The article is now at Rajo Laurel. Now all you need to do is add some categories and it should be good to go.
By the way, are you okay with this being submitted to Did You Know? I can go and do the nomination for you and all of that. I would just need you to let me know if there's a hook sentence that you'd prefer. Or I can just make one up myself. Silverseren 20:46, 1 April 2012 (UTC)
- I'd love a DYK submission actually, thanks! No preference for the hook. I'm Tony Ahn (talk) 20:52, 1 April 2012 (UTC)
Nomination done
You can keep an eye on it here. Silverseren 02:54, 4 April 2012 (UTC)

GOCE March drive wrap-up
Guild of Copy Editors March 2012 backlog elimination drive
Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors March 2012 Backlog elimination drive! This is the most successful drive we have had for quite a while. Here is your end-of-drive wrap-up newsletter. Participation Of the 70 people who signed up for this drive, 40 copy-edited at least one article. Thanks to all who participated! Special acknowledgement goes out to Lfstevens, who did over 200 articles, most of them in the last third of the drive, and topped all three leaderboard categories. You're a superstar! Stfg and others have been pre-checking the articles for quality and conformance to Misplaced Pages guidelines; some have been nominated for deletion or had some preliminary clean-up done to help make the copy-edit process more fun and appealing. Thanks to all who helped get those nasty last few articles out of the target months. Progress report During this drive we were successful in eliminating our target months—October, November, and December 2010—from the queue, and have now eliminated all the 2010 articles from our list. We were able to complete 500 articles this month! End-of-drive results and barnstar information can be found here. When working on the backlog, please keep in mind that there are options other than copy-editing available; some articles may be candidates for deletion, or may not be suitable for copy-editing at this time for other reasons. The {{GOCEreviewed}} tag can be placed on any article you find to be totally uneditable, and you can nominate for deletion any that you discover to be copyright violations or completely unintelligible. If you need help deciding what to do, please contact any of the coordinators. Thank you for participating in the March 2012 drive! All contributions are appreciated. Our next copy-edit drive will be in May. Your drive coordinators – Dianna , Stfg (Talk), and Dank (talk)To discontinue receiving GOCE newsletters, please remove your name from our mailing list. |

Don't really see anything there adding up to notability. Ninety employees, tiny revenues, "coverage" consisting of rankings in the "Top 5,000"; just not much there. --Orange Mike | Talk 15:04, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

Hi Tony, What is it that you do to get paid to edit pages? From the best of my understanding my boss might have traded some SEO services for a Wikipage and had me write the page. What's the best way to disclose this? I don't appreciate what you said, as I know nothing of what Local Splash might have said to you. I'm merely following orders in maintaining this page's integrity and articles for creation states nothing of how many indices or how deep they have to be to establish notability. Additionally, any other edits I've made have also been as a request of my boss as well. JeffBordeaux (talk) 06:09, 19 July 2012 (UTC)
- Answered most of these questions on the AfD page. In response to you not appreciating this, I'll invoke Ignorantia juris non excusat. In addition, I assume your job pays you a salary. If that's the case, the time you spend writing a Misplaced Pages article, you're being paid. Here at Misplaced Pages, that puts you in the category of "paid editor" which has specific guidelines and rules. I'm Tony Ahn (talk) 00:26, 20 July 2012 (UTC)

My review of Rembrandt Flores was very cursory. I just confirmed that it would likely pass an WP:AFD challenge. I did not really do a quality review.
