He won three medals in cycling at the Athens 2004 Summer Olympics.
Wiggins was born in Ghent, Belgium. He won gold in the 4km individual pursuit in Athens before winning a silver in the team pursuit, and a bronze with Rob Hales in the Madison.
At the Sydney 2000 Summer Olympics, Wiggins won bronze in the Team Pursuit.
