  • Flash floods leave 16 people dead and 3 others missing in Saudi Arabia, with authorities urging citizens to avoid low-lying wadis. At least two others were killed in neighboring Oman in some of the heaviest rainfall in more than 25 years. (Al Arabiya)

  • The UN Human Rights Office says the force-feeding of hunger-strikers at the U.S. Guantanamo Bay Prison is a violation of international law. About 100 out of 166 inmates are currently refusing to eat. Of these, 23 are currently being force-fed, up from 21 yesterday.
