emigrated, immigrated
To my knowledge, emigrate is to leave, immigrate is to move to a new place, so someone emigrates from Poland to England, but leaves Poland to immigrate to England. The example sentences used are "Each year many people emigrate from Europe." and "There are many inducements to immigrate to South America." Apteva (talk) 19:40, 13 May 2013 (UTC)
