F-16s issue
Welcome!
- First
Agreement signed in March 2010 with United States for an additional 14 F-16s to be delivered by December 2012.
U.S. to provide 14 F-16 jet planes to Pakistan.News.xinhuanet.com (2010-03-27). Retrieved on 2012-07-01.
This source does not mention about "signing agreement". Only "The United States has agreed to provide another 14 F-16 jet planes to Pakistan till December this year". You can't tell if it's order, plan, either new or used - especially if it's Block 52, no word about delivery in December 2012. The most importent - there was no notification on www.dsca.osd.mil, so sale has been concluded.
- Second
Pakistan receives F-16 planes from US - Pakistan received on Monday the last of the 18 ‘new buy’ F-16 fighter jets,
marking the conclusion of one part of the defence deal that is often flaunted as the icon of post-9/11 bilateral re-engagement.
This source clarify it is F-16D block 52 airframe #10801 - first D-model produced in 2009, kept for testing & trials. It's not another 18, it's 18th delivered.
- Third
Letter of agreement for up to 45 F-16A/B Block 15 models with F100-PW-200 engines signed in December 1981
F-16 Air Forces – Pakistan. F-16.net. Retrieved on 2012-07-01
This source provide: "Peace Gate I - In December 1981, the government of Pakistan signed a letter of agreement for the purchase of up to 40 F-16A/B (28 F-16A and 12 F-16B) fighters for the Pakistan Fiza'ya (Pakistan Air Force, or PAF)". I hope this solve Your complaints. If it's inconclusive please leave a feedback on my Talkpage.
PS. You can move you talkpage to archive, not remove (), see Misplaced Pages:Talk page guidelines. --SojerPL (talk) 15:03, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
Let me give you some SIPRI figures (till 2011)
40 F-16A 1983-1985 (Peace Gate I)
14 F-16A 2005-2008 ( Under Deal for 28 F-16's signed in 1988 )
18 F-16C Block-50/52 2010 (12 F-16C & 6 F-16D) (Part of 'Peace Drive 1' )
This takes number to 72 - 9 = 63
Now according to http://www.strategypage.com/dls/articles/Pakistan-Air-Force-Crumbling-Away-1-13-2013.asp , Pakistan has received 46 F-16's since 2000...
In 2010 according http://www.geo.tv/3-27-2010/61843.htm and http://news.xinhuanet.com/english2010/world/2010-03/27/c_13227205.htm US had agreed to deliver 14 more F-16's to Pakistan under the 1988 Peace Gate II deal ... I mean to say 14 + 18 + 14 = 46 .....which overall takes the number to 77 (which strategy page gives) ... and nobody can dispute it as a reliable source ..... Correct me If I am still wrong ..--Maxx786 (talk) 16:03, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
- No one dispute sources, but since 2010 there were no reports about delivery.--SojerPL (talk) 17:35, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
The source says 46 have been delivered and current inventory of F-16's (as of January 2013) is 77 , out of which 31 (probably old 1980's jets) need upgrade ... You may add the information along with the details about upgrade of 45 old F-16 Block 15 ( 31 of belong to the 1980's batch and 14 of the 2005-08 batch) to Block 40 (Block 15 MLU) (done by Turkish Aerospace Industries) ( http://articles.economictimes.indiatimes.com/2013-01-21/news/36463050_1_f-16-paf-programme http://www.strategypage.com/htmw/htairfo/articles/20111104.aspx ) .. Besides you can also add info about the upgrade of 3 F-16's , which were delivered in February, 2012 ( http://dawn.com/2012/02/07/pakistan-receives-f-16-planes-from-us/ )
Cheers .... --Maxx786 (talk) 07:23, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
Hello!
How are how doing Maxx? I keep an eye on your contributions, and they deserve appreciation. Keep up the great work, I wish to see you a more active editor with ever-increasing substantial contributions. Actually, I had a concern that you often remove talk page messages. You can remove them as per the policy, but I suggest you not to remove them when they are not "warnings" or likewise stuff. For example, you removed Pakistan Marines topic of discussion. Just a simple suggestion that you can request archiving too of your talk, but if you want to become a regular editing, you should have a good record of Talk page. I hope you catch up to the point. Will welcome any questions! Faizan 07:35, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for your advice .... --Maxx786 (talk) 08:24, 23 May 2013 (UTC)

Recently, I uploaded this image File:Al-Khalid IDEAS 2012.jpg on Misplaced Pages under cc-by license given by the author (Guy Martin defenceweb.co.za) via email .. I asked him to mail the permission to permissions-en@wikimedia.org with all details (Misplaced Pages link,Website Image link, License) but there was no response from Misplaced Pages. Then he mailed it on permissions-commons@wikimedia.org but again nothing happened. The image still requires OTRS permission. Can you help me?
Who has to e-mail Misplaced Pages, the uploader or the author?
--Maxx786 (talk) 08:59, 3 July 2013 (UTC)
- The permission must be sent by the copyright holder, who will likely be either the photographer (not the author of the accompanying text unless he also took the photo!) or the publication for which he took the photograph. That said, OTRS is staffed by volunteers too, so you may simply have to wait a little longer. Huon (talk) 10:04, 3 July 2013 (UTC)
