Discussion closure request

Hello INeverCry: Requesting closure of the AfD thread at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Goldtec, since the article was speedy deleted (by you) following my speedy nomination. Normally I'd perform a non-administrator close for the AfD thread, but since I contributed to the discussion there, can't do it. Northamerica1000 08:43, 21 July 2013 (UTC)

Thanks! Northamerica1000 20:13, 21 July 2013 (UTC)

Cross-wiki blocking

Some time ago, you blocked Commons:User:Tu Real Socio. Someone's now asked (bottom thread in this revision of WP:AN) for action against this user here at en:wp, based partially on the user's actions at Commons. Could you check the situation and take any necessary actions? Nyttend (talk) 18:23, 21 July 2013 (UTC)

Commented there, and blocked User:Tu Real Socio here. INeverCry (talk) 18:50, 21 July 2013 (UTC)
Thanks. I wasn't aware of the reason why you said they were the same; if I'd realised it was CU data, I wouldn't have taken your time. Nyttend (talk) 19:50, 21 July 2013 (UTC)

A page you have written has appeared again!

Deleted Page Exosite (company)

You're listed as the user that deleted the page Exosite (company) with the reason that the page was created by a banned user, that as far as I can tell was banned because they were getting paid to make pages. I'm an employee at Exosite and I'm not aware of any being paid to create this page (but I was not directly involved in it's creation). I am not an expert of Misplaced Pages's rules, but we are certainly not intending to break any of them. Looking through what's left of various bits of history it looks like all User:Hoomanhaz (Listed as a sockpuppet of User:Morning277) did was move our page from Exosite to Exosite (company). Is it possible to un-delete our page or can I recreate it without getting myself banned? Azdle (talk) 22:25, 22 July 2013 (UTC)

When the above blocked user moved the page it was just a redirect. Another blocked sock, User:SobontueoB then created all the content, turning it into an article. The deletion was justified. If you wish, you can create a new article any time you like. INeverCry (talk) 17:18, 23 July 2013 (UTC)

Zimbabwean Parliamentary Elections, 2013

i don't know why you speedily deleted this page. As these parliamentary elections have started, & actual voting is on 31ts. July 2013. Please research, before you delete,& from briefly seeing other talk contributions, its like this is not the first time you deleted work, which has taken hours to do ! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ekhaya2000 (talkcontribs) 11:32, 23 July 2013 (UTC)

Feel free to re-create the page, but you may want to start with something more than a bare title. It might be better for you to work this up in a sandbox, so that you have material sourced with WP:RS to start with. As for your remark about "other talk contributions", I've done more than 25000 deletions here, so a few mistakes are of course unavoidable. I do my best. INeverCry (talk) 17:25, 23 July 2013 (UTC)

A Barnstar for you!

The Admin's Barnstar
Amazing work, seems like you are always the one to delete pages here, files at commons, and to complete repetitive admin tasks. Keep it up. Surfer43 (talk) 02:51, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
Thank you. INeverCry 03:38, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

Eric Corbett

What consensus did you see anywhere to terminate Eric's block early?—Kww(talk) 22:53, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

Discussed at WP:AN#Eric Corbett unblockedKww(talk) 23:04, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

Hi INeverCry - I've restored the block of User:Eric Corbett for the time being. There is a presumption that consensus has not changed until it is shown otherwise, so your unblocking went against the consensus at the previous AN thread. If the new thread (linked by Kww above) shows this consensus has changed then your unblock should be restored shortly. Regardless of the eventual outcome, please do not modify blocks resulting from consensus at a noticeboard without discussion. Doing so can be considered wheel warring. Let me know if you have any questions, Prodego 23:50, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

The block was put in place before the discussion. How can it be a "result"? Block first and ask questions later, but don't unblock until there's days more of discussion. Seems convenient for the blocking interest. INeverCry 23:52, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
The consensus was not to change the original block. Undoing my block restoration has clearly crossed the line into wheel warring, which will lead to an RFAR. I strongly encourage you to reverse this action. Prodego 23:54, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
I hate to say it, but that is wheel warring for sure... you may want to reblock, or ArbCom will most likely desysop you. :( --Rschen7754 23:56, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
I'm not going to have my name seen in Eric's block record with anything but "unblock". A desysop would be unfortunate, especially seeing that I average several thousand log actions per month, and do a huge ammount of work here. You have to do what you think is right though, and I've done so. INeverCry 00:11, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
I know, I'm just saying this because I don't want to see you desysopped, and I fear that ArbCom will, because wheel warring is generally an automatic desysop, no questions asked. :( --Rschen7754 00:16, 25 July 2013 (UTC)

RFAR

Conscious and intentionally yanking on the wheel to get your own way only leads to one place: Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Case#INeverCry.—Kww(talk) 00:13, 25 July 2013 (UTC)

ArbCom

The section titled "Arbitrators' opinion on hearing this matter" is only for ArbCom members. If you wish to respond to an ArbCom's comment, it should be placed in your own section. Prepend "@NuclearWarfare" if you wish to make it clear that your response is directed at a particular ArbCom member. An ArbCom clerk will probably move your post to the correct section, but you can save their time by moving it yourself. Thanks and good luck. A Quest For Knowledge (talk) 02:11, 25 July 2013 (UTC)

Nevermind, someone has already moved it. A Quest For Knowledge (talk) 02:13, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, AQFK explains pretty well how comments are done in that page. Just to note that although I am a clerk, I did the change in my editor capacity, given that I recused from that request (I am your RfA nominator, and thus I'm biased). — ΛΧΣ 02:15, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
Thanks. I've had more than enough. See you down the road. INeverCry 02:54, 25 July 2013 (UTC)

Seriously?

I'm very sad to see you go. You were a great admin, you stood for what you thought was right - and the fact that you're being thrown under the bus is disgusting. I hope to see you back in ranks sometime soon. Dusti 03:17, 25 July 2013 (UTC)

My comments

INeverCry, I am sorry that I felt the need to speak plainly with respect to your admin actions today. I've been observant of your work on Misplaced Pages, and those actions seem very out of character for you; I've always thought well of both your editing and your admin actions. People burn out, but those who are most dedicated to the project keep pushing themselves until something breaks if they feel there's nobody else to take over the tasks they've put a lot of effort into. I suspect that this is what has happened here. I do hope that you'll continue with the project, although you might want to take some time to decompress. I don't normally "discuss" an arbitration request directly with a party on their talk pages, but I thought I should let you know that I really wish things hadn't gone this way. Best, Risker (talk) 03:24, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
