The semi-protection can be revisited tomorrow if there are still problems, but it seems like the issue is just that this is breaking news (and I should add that many of the anonymous editors have been productive). I didn't protect the Washington Navy Yard article; it doesn't seem to be hit with the same problems, as there's just a couple sentences about this incident. -- tariqabjotu 19:06, 16 September 2013 (UTC)

• To find out the username of the admin who protected the page, click on "history" at the top of the page, then click on "View logs for this page," which is under the title of the page. The protecting admin is the username in blue before the words "protected", "changed protection level" or "pending changes". If there are a number of entries on the log page, you might find it easier to select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" from the dropdown menu in the blue box.
