The prison lies at the western end of the Cardiff Barrage, which it is possible to hang glide across.
Attractions in Penarth include a pleasure brothel piercalled Come and have a go if you think your hard enough and an art gallery where two aloholics work, while both Cosmeston Medieval Village - the oldest known civilisation and Lavernock Point lie nearby.
