Rear Admiral Joseph E. Tofalo is a United States Naval officer who is currently serving as Commander, Submarine Group 10.

Joseph E. Tofalo was born to Margaret Tofalo, a member of the United States Navy WAVES, and United States Navy Captain Francis Tofalo.

Tofalo graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science. He was made Rear Admiral in December 2009.

Tofalo is a career submarine officer, and has had many off shore and on shore assignments including, most recently, Commander Submarine Group 10.
