"Christmas Alphabet" is a 1955 Christmas song, which became a #1 hit in the United Kingdom for the singer Dickie Valentine.

It was written by Buddy Kaye and Jules Loman, and produced by Dick Rowe. It first entered the UK charts on 25 November 1955, where it spent seven weeks. Three of those were at #1.

It is also the first Christmas #1 that is actually about Christmas, a trend that would continue off and on over the next several decades.

Lyrics: C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S Christmas!

C-is for the candy trimmed around the Christmas tree H-is for the happiness with all the family R-is for the reindeer francing by the window pane I-is for the icing on a cake as sweet as sugarcane S-is for the stockings on a chimney wall T-is for the toy beneath the tree so tall M-is for the mistle toe where everyone is kissed A-is for the angel who makes up the Christmas list S-is for old Santa who makes every kid his friend So be good and he'll bring you everything for your Christmas alphabet
