Kyrgyzstan is a country in Central Asia. It has borders with China, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan. Its capital is Bishkek.

It was formerly part of the USSR. Its full name was Kirghiz Soviet Socialist Republic, and was commonly referred to as Kirghizia or Kirghiz SSR.
