San Francisco meetup at WMF headquarters

Hi Gamer9832,

I just wanted to give you a heads-up about the next wiki-meetup happening in SF. It'll be located at our very own Wikimedia Foundation offices, and we'd love it if some local editors who are new to the meetup scene came and got some free lunch with us :) Please sign up on the meetup page if you're interested in attending, and I hope to see you soon! Disambiguation link notification for March 14

Hi. When you recently edited Silicon Valley BART extension, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page VTA (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Re:Democrats

It's a fundamental misunderstanding to say the Democrats are centrist and center-left because center-left encompasses parties that have both centrist and left-wing elements. The Democrats have centrists - the Blue Dogs are a good example even though they are rapidly declining in power - and they have left wingers such as the Congressional Progressive Caucus. They are therefore, as a whole, center-left. Center left is an accurate description of the party as a whole and is supported by three scholarly journals. Toa Nidhiki05 00:00, 14 June 2012 (UTC)

That's pure original research. Did you read anything I said? Three scholarly sources confirm center-left. The party is progressive and socially liberal as a whole, two of the three major center-left positions (social democracy is the other). Center to center-left is a non-existent position and is an oxymoron. Center-left acknowlages both left-wing and centrist party elements. Toa Nidhiki05 00:07, 14 June 2012 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

Ideological differences aside I'm glad we all could reach a consensus that works for everyone. Toa Nidhiki05 21:14, 19 June 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Windows Phone 8 shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Jasper Deng (talk) 16:42, 31 May 2013 (UTC)

File source problem with File:Word Mobile 2013.png

Thank you for uploading File:Word Mobile 2013.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Misplaced Pages. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Hi. Allow me to replace these automated messages (which I didn't really send in spite of my sig being appended): You say you've found it on Office.com. That's not a source. It is like saying "I found it on planet Earth." Both are equally vast and therefore can possibly be weasel words to avoid giving an actual source.
If you indeed found it somewhere on the Office.com, we need a link to a page on which this item appear AND a direct link to the file itself. But then again, why did you use {{Microsoft screenshot}}? If you found the images on Office.com, then this tag does not apply.
Best regards,

A barnstar for you!

The Photographer's Barnstar
Thanks for rapidly resolving the copyright issues of the uploaded images. In my past experience, people who did not care to supply images source in the first place never cared to fix their action in spite of being asked to do so. You proved to be a different person.

There were other problems but nothing that cannot be fixed and nothing that mandates such draconian measures as speedy deletion. In the end, I apologize if I caused any inconvenience.

Best regards,
Codename Lisa (talk) 09:55, 2 February 2014 (UTC)
