Tarni Stephens (born April 3, 1978) was a contestant who placed thirteenth in Australian Idol 3 in 2005. She was eliminated first, on September 12, 2005 along with fellow Top 13 contestant Chris Luder.

Tarni auditioned in Brisbane. She was known for her rock style of music. She was also the lead singer in her band Tarni.
