Warning on March 2008 for your vandalism
This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you vandalize Misplaced Pages, as you did to Choi Seung-Hee, you will be blocked from editing. After knowing your long and persistent vandalism on Hoe (dish), I would not be surprised at seeing your other vandalism. You should be very careful when to edit Misplaced Pages, because people can look through what you've done. Do you still live in the WW2 period?--Appletrees (talk) 21:48, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
- A "last warning" received in 2008, for creating an article in 2003? That must be the ultimate in Misplaced Pages-coolness! --Latebird (talk) 06:01, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
- He is a hard worker. He deserves the title of warrior. And his words don't make sense. In human society in general, this kind of people are more nuisance than competent opponents. How to deal with them is one of my long-term challenges. Sigh. --Nanshu (talk) 02:01, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
- Some people are distorting information and always evading from suitable sanctions which have caused more than nuisance to this community. In human society people with common sense tend to keep eye on those kind of people because the disruptive editors foolishly believe they're doing right. That is better for them to dream on. People don't be deceived once again after shepherd boy's continuous lies were nothing but annoyance. Remind of the crying wolf syndrome.--Appletrees (talk) 02:46, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Hello Nanshu. In this edit, you make drastic changes to the article, and accuse previous editors of vandalism. While I know little about this topic, when I see someone return to an article after two months away, and denounce all the recent work in such terms, I don't find that very convincing. It's especially worrisome when you remove the POV and Refimprove tags. Please participate on the article Talk page and explain what you're talking about. The references on this article (if you expect English speakers to believe them) are truly unconvincing. To me, that would justify the 'Refimprove' tag. It is not clear if anyone at all has read the books in question, even in Korean. EdJohnston (talk) 03:03, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs
Hello Nanshu! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- Hiromichi Mori - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Paik Sun-yup - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 01:47, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
Kirishitan
Hey Nanshu, still around Misplaced Pages? I would appreciate your insight into the article Kirishitan - I know that about five years ago (!!!) you added a lot of material to the Kirishitan article dealing with the history of Christianity in Japan. I know it's been a long time, but could you help us find references/sources for the material in this article? Misplaced Pages does not want to be publishing original research, so I'm hoping you can help us cite these claims so we can bring this article up to encyclopedia quality. I have also written about this issue on the Talk:Kirishitan page; you are welcome to reply and give ideas for how we can move this article forward. Thank you for your time,

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true
. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false
in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.
For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.
Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 18:06, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

Proposed Tibetan naming conventions
A while back, I posted a new proposal for Tibetan naming conventions, i.e. conventions that can be used to determine the most appropriate titles for articles related to the Tibetan region. This came out of discussions about article titles on Talk:Qamdo and Talk:Lhoka (Shannan) Prefecture. I hope that discussions on the proposal's talk page will lead to consensus in favour of making these conventions official, but so far only a few editors have left comments. If you would be interested in taking a look at the proposed naming conventions and giving your opinion, I would definitely appreciate it. Thanks—Nat Krause 15:50, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
Non-free rationale for File:Mongolian text crop.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Mongolian text crop.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Misplaced Pages is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 19:34, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

File:Jebtsundamba mongol.png needs authorship information
Dear uploader:The media file you uploaded as File:Jebtsundamba mongol.png appears to be missing information as to its authorship (and or source), or if you did provide such information, it is confusing for others trying to make use of the image.
It would be appreciated if you would consider updating the file description page, to make the authorship of the media clearer.
Although some images may not need author information in obvious cases, (such where an applicable source is provided), authorship information aids users of the image, and helps ensure that appropriate credit is given (a requirement of some licenses).
- If you created this media yourself, please consider explicitly including your user name, for which:
{{subst:usernameexpand|Nanshu/Archive005}}
will produce an appropriate expansion,
or use the {{own}} template.
- If this is an old image, for which the authorship is unknown or impossible to determine, please indicate this on the file description page.
Disambiguation link notification
Hi. When you recently edited Ryūkyū Shotō, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ishigaki (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Do not recreate a content fork of the Ryukyu Islands page. If there is such an issue in including the Amamis in the English definition, then just remove any content on the Amamis on Ryukyu Islands.—Ryulong (竜龙) 19:47, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
Talk page editing
When you edit talk pages, it is best if you do it by sections so other editors can know where you added your commentary from the page's history. In addition, when you (or if you actually do) edit these sections, do not blank the edit summary, as the content located between the "/*" and "*/" tags will modify the edit summary to show a link to the section that you added to. Right now, it is impossible to tell what you are doing on Talk:Ryukyu Islands, and the fact that you only edit once a week is not helping the discussion.—Ryulong (竜龙) 20:57, 14 February 2012 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Index of Japan-related articles
The article Index of Japan-related articles has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- This is not an index of articles. It used to be but some years ago the list was removed and replaced with the template that links to all the sub lists. As it stands now, this page has no purpose and is merely a fork from the main Japan page.
While all contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Illia Connell (talk) 19:54, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
Nomination of Ryukyu Arc for deletion
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Ryukyu Arc is suitable for inclusion in Misplaced Pages according to Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Ryukyu Arc until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. —Ryulong (琉竜) 07:46, 4 October 2012 (UTC)

Declined speedy - Keiamura Rokusuke
I have declined your speedy deletion nomination, because WP:CSD#R3 is only for recently-created redirects, and this has been there since 2006. There is a reason for that: long-standing redirects may be linked to from outside, see WP:RFD#HARMFUL. In fact, this seems a plausible mis-spelling, and it gets the occasional hit. February 2014
Please stop attacking other editors, as you did on Misplaced Pages talk:Manual of Style/Japan-related articles. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. While you're being more circumspect about insulting Ryulong than before, calling someone "incapable of understanding what transliteration was" is on the same level as calling someone stupid, and taking a position of authority as a "teacher" is against the spirit of collaboration on this project. -- Atama頭 17:27, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
Changing the thread's title after a week of discussion is a violation of WP:TPO. The thread is about you. Nug's interference in process does not mean you get to change things to turn them on me.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 13:10, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
- Seriously, Nanshu? Knowledgeless control freak? Has anything I said to you sunk in? One more attack like that and I'm blocking you. I'm not taking sides here, if Ryulong resorts to the same behavior I'm willing to block him too, but I haven't seen any evidence of reciprocation on his part. -- Atama頭 16:15, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
