Tom Butler is a fringe author who has been on Misplaced Pages since 2006. The diffs I have provided above include some recent activity, but also some older activity as it is my intent to argue that Tom Butler has demonstrated a pattern of disruptive behavior that has spanned more than seven years. Tom has made a total of 163 edits to articles. 158 of his edits are to fringe articles, 4 are to fringe related articles, and 1 was to an article dealing with a minority viewpoint. Tom is very much a WP:SPA. Going through Tom’s edits I was able to find a few productive edits, yet the overwhelming majority of his edits are fringe pushing.
Tom’s non-article edits are considerably more numerous and are rife with incivility. Tom Butler has a deep-seated hatred of science and skepticism, and he uses Misplaced Pages talk pages as a place to vent his frustration. Tom does not respect consensus, and has repeatedly attempted to re-insert contentions material in spite of both consensus and policy. As Tom has consistently abused his editing privileges over the course of seven years I am asking that he be indefinitely blocked per WP:NOTHERE. If Tom hasn’t learned to be a constructive Wikipedian by now then there’s no reason to expect that he’s ever going to change.
Though I am limited to 20 diffs I would encourage any administrators considering this request to peruse through Tom Butler’s editing history. You’ll be hard pressed to find something that isn’t fringe-pushing or uncivil or both.
