I have requested comments from others at https://en.wikipedia.org/Talk:Persecution_of_Hindus#Request_for_comments. How do I ask others for help without being pulled up for canvassing (I've already read the matter at https://en.wikipedia.org/Wikipedia:Requests_for_comment)? The mob killed many Hindus in and around the temple and so, I want that section restored.—Khabboos (talk) 04:56, 24 February 2014 (UTC)

WP:RFC and notifications at community places, such as WikiProjects, fall within the appropriate means of gathering community participation as explained at WP:CANVASS. Where you will draw problems in terms of canvassing would be to notify individuals at places where you know or even believe would benefit only one side of the discussion. I would strongly discourage you to notify people off-Misplaced Pages. You will also need to ensure that when you notify people that you do not present your own argument with out equally and fairly presenting the other side. Generally people avoid this by simply notifying people that a discussion regarding a certain topic is taking place and do not mention your own preference of the situation. Your RFC borderlines on this. Mkdw 05:28, 24 February 2014 (UTC)

Hello Khabboos, and welcome to Misplaced Pages. Your addition to Sectarianism in Pakistan‎ has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Misplaced Pages, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

Copying citations from other articles

You said at Talk:Terrorism in Pakistan#Reverts by Smsarmad that you had copied citations from other articles. If you do this, you still have to check that the citations are valid. This means that the citations have to be: 1. Relevant. 2. Back the material you are providing them as sources for. 3. If they are internet links, they have to work at the time you post them.--Toddy1 (talk) 21:14, 17 March 2014 (UTC)

O.K., thanks!—Khabboos (talk) 14:22, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

Archiving bot

If you look at my talk page you will see that I have an archiving bot set up. You will see that the bot is also set up on some article talk pages - e.g. Talk:Salafi movement. You might want to try experimenting with this feature on your own talk page. If things are archived by a bot, it takes all the heat out of their being archived. You can adjust the parameters of the archiving bot as desired - I sometimes change the parameters on the one on my talk page depending on circumstances.--Toddy1 (talk) 21:04, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

Please

Either enable email or mail me, I believe you to be a sock of a currently banned user, but as I am not positive I would prefer to keep it off wiki. Darkness Shines (talk) 23:20, 19 March 2014 (UTC)

I created this User ID (Khabboos) only in Jan. this year and have made some edits with my I.P. before that. Does that make me a sock - please educate me about that? I have enabled my e-mail, so pls do e-mail me. Thanks!—Khabboos (talk) 13:34, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
