Semi-protection. Second request, due to revert war casued by User:Fabshelly and several annoyomous IDs, inspired by article written by Koh on wikipedia. Controversy is similar to those of Marty Meehan.

User:Fabshelly has so far violated policies and guidelines in varying degrees: Misplaced Pages:What Misplaced Pages is not, which is an official policy, ignorance of Misplaced Pages:Reliable sources, Misplaced Pages:Biographies of living persons and Misplaced Pages:Neutral_point_of_view. If failing to abide by these laws despite being informed, it would be considered as Misplaced Pages:Vandalism. Although Fabshelly as so far made no signs of making these law-violating edits, other ID users such as this have made attempts.

As for me, while Fabshelly has accused me of posting false information on Talk:Bae Yong Joon, I have already patched up by adding essential citations to my contributions in accordance to the standardised guideline of Misplaced Pages:Reliable sources. Thus there should be no more reason to why my contributions be eliminated repeatedly despite abiding all the above laws in Good Faith.

Thus semi-protection, as least temporary, is needed to end the revert war caused by violations of wikipedia laws. Misplaced Pages's guidelines, especially Official policies, are something which all users must abide with in order to be in wikipedia. I hereby appeal to admins to at least seriously consider this request and thoroughly investigate and end this contention. Mr Tan 07:28, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

I'm actually wondering whether this page is protected at all... I can edit it just fine, and it seems like the user has put this template on his user page when the page wasn't actually protected in the past. Still, I'm going to assume good faith, because I don't know how to tell if the page is just protected so that anon users can't edit it (though why it would be I don't know; there hasn't been a lot of vandalism to the page)... Do the admins have some way of checking whether a page is protected? (Is there a way for me to do this of which I am unaware?) I've told the user that he should remove the tag if his page isn't really protected, but I'm not sure if he'll comply. Sorry if this isn't the right place to bring this up... I wasn't sure whether it should maybe go on the admins' noticeboard instead.

page-move protection The portal is meant to be about the island of Taiwan (NPOV) under the Geography section of Portal:Browse but some people keep moving the portal page to Portal:Republic of China. A mediation request has been filed at Misplaced Pages:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2006-06-21 Portal:Taiwan as the next step to settle the dispute. Semi-protection having been heavily trolled and vandalised by sock/meats in the past year (sock ring listed on WP:LTA), the main page has been semi protected, but now we're seeing edits from anon IP's in the same style as the sock puppeteer again. So a request to add semi-protection to the talk page too. Sample edit: this long edit which looks innocuous... if it wasn't almost identical to previous edits by the vandal over the last year.
