kallar is one among the three clans in tamilnadu namely Kallar,Maravar,Agamudiyar which is known as Mudukulathur.Kalla means black.Even kings like Raja Raja cholan, sivagangai king Muthu vaduganathar belong to kallar community.Kallar community has nearly 2000 sub names which none other caste hold it.
