User:Epicgenius has been repeatedly asked not to contribute to this talk page.
WP:NOBAN says: "If a user asks you not to edit their user pages, it is probably sensible to respect their requests". 71.139.142.249 (talk) 17:12, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
WP:REMOVED says "Policy does not prohibit users, whether registered or unregistered users, from removing comments from their own talk pages". 71.139.142.249 (talk) 17:12, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
User retention? LOL!
Dennis Brown has been asked not to edit this talk page. I would suggest that he resign from WikiProject Editor Retention since he doesn't have a clue as to how to retain good editors. 71.139.142.249 (talk) 02:32, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
IPs get the shaft
I am not a new editor. I've been editing as an IP for years. I'm fed up to my eyeballs with zealous anti-vandal patrollers who are on a power trip, assuming that every IP is a vandal and making knee-jerk reverts of their edits, who fail to admit their mistakes, and who are incapable of writing a complete, comprehensible sentence in English. I'm also fed up with abusive editors, who continually and mercilessly push the envelope until just before they're about to get blocked, then capitulate, begging forgiveness and promising to rehabilitate themselves. I'm equally fed up with weak-willed admins who facilitate their bad behavior and who are equally biased against IPs. I honestly don't know why I stay in this hell-hole. I do know that all the pseudo-friendly welcoming notices aren't worth a rat's ass and will do nothing to retain editors. Until WP starts to seriously deal with the borderline, sociopathic, antisocial, and narcissistic behavior of many of its long-term editors, it will continue to deteriorate. Misplaced Pages really needs to hire some outside consultants to provide some insight into how to deal with the interpersonal dynamics on the site, as the insiders just don't get it. 71.139.142.249 (talk) 02:32, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
