"I Want You" is the first single from Jody Watley's third album, Affairs of the Heart.

History

"I Want You" was considered a disappointment after her second album scored three consecutive top-ten pop singles. "I Want You" failed to reach the top 50 on the U.S. pop chart, although it did find success as a top-five R&B single, and top-twenty dance single.

The video was featured on an episode of Beverly Hills, 90210.
