Career
She has acted on film and television. She appeared in Django Unchained and several other films, including short films.
On television, she has appeared on How I Met Your Mother, Greek, Cold Case, Detroit 1-8-7, Criminal Minds, Private Practice, 90210, Castle, Melissa & Joey, Weeds, and Partners.
Personal life
She is in a relationship with chef Brian James Lucas. On September 11, 2014, someone allegedly called 911 on the couple after spotting them in their own car kissing, assuming the mixed race pair were a john and prostitute. She was handcuffed for not showing her ID to the police officers who arrived, feeling they had no reason to ask for it, though her boyfriend complied. This incident occurred in Studio City, Los Angeles, California. She reportedly injured her wrist as a result of the handcuffs being too tight. Charges were never filed and she was shortly released on the scene. The couple have retained a lawyer.
