Disambiguation link notification for January 30
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Hitachi, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Takashi Kawamura (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Master of Computer Applications
Since another editor disagrees with the redirect, you now need to go to Talk:Master of Computer Applications and provide evidence that they are the same degree. Please note that you need an actual source that states they are the same. You cannot compare the two and say "Look they have the same requirements and classes"--that's original research. Absent such evidence, I'm going to say that the pages need to be kept separate. Qwyrxian (talk) 13:56, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
- Update: after looking at just a little bit of details, it's very very clear to me that calling them all the same is original research. I've undone the MCA redirect, but I'm going to have to see what is salvageable at the MSIT page, probably cutting a very large portion of it. Qwyrxian (talk) 14:38, 17 February 2013 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Thomas.W. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Ford Motor Company, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. New FY2012 figures automatically require a new reference, not just addition of the new figures while leaving the old FY2011 reference in place, as you did. Thomas.W (talk) 10:56, 1 July 2013 (UTC)

General Motors
I noticed that you made some changes to the infobox regarding the yearly figures. I'm sure they are fine (Ive checked the 2012 10K report) but the references are now out of sinc. For instance, I checked the current "About GM/Our Company" page and it still shows ...212,000 employees. Please update the references so that they accurately reflect the changes that you made. Examination images at the Illustration Workshop
Hello Kkm010 -- I've created 4 of the 5 images that you've requested at the Illustration workshop.
The fifth file, the SAT Reasoning Test logo, presented some issues. Unfortunately, I was unable to match the font and the GIF is waaay too low resolution to attempt to draw each letter by hand. (For example, the letters for "IELTS", "ETS", "TOEFL", "GRE", and "GMAT" were hand-drawn individually.) I've left the request open in case another artist wishes to try to tackle it. However, it would be helpful if you could find a higher resolution image to work from. Niamh (talk) 12:47, 20 December 2013 (UTC)
- Just an update, Sn1per was able to locate a newer, simpler, and frankly better logo for the SAT and vectorised it. I've added to the gallery above. You now have the full set. Niamh (talk) 19:59, 20 December 2013 (UTC)

Re: Accenture
Hi mate. I have no problem with you contributing to the discussion about the Accenture infobox that has been going on for quite a while. But it's not really helpful to just blindly revert edits without explaining why and without have paid any heed to ongoing discussion. Care to have a chat about it? Stalwart111 06:32, 26 February 2014 (UTC)
Please stop removing the net revenue notice in the infobox. A discussion on the talk page has already reached a consensus on including it. If you feel otherwise, please join in on the discussion. But constantly just reverting the page is going to force me to report you. Silverseren 19:34, 20 March 2014 (UTC)

Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at Accenture. Your edits have been reverted or removed.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Misplaced Pages's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Misplaced Pages's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in your being blocked from editing. Please stop editing against broad consensus established on the article's talk page. You are welcome to join the discussion there and discuss you changes with other editors. You are not welcome to edit-war your changes into the article. Stalwart111 22:06, 23 April 2014 (UTC)

I see you have returned to make yet more disruptive edits to Accenture. Your edit has been reverted. Once again, discussing what you propose to include (at all) would have been far more productive. St★lwart 07:30, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you violate Misplaced Pages's no original research policy by inserting unpublished information or your personal analysis into an article, as you did at Infosys. St★lwart 13:37, 8 October 2014 (UTC)

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. No - you're a bloody nuisance, Kkm, and you have been for a long time. That's the reason your talkpage is still on my watchlist and I saw this. You don't edit collaboratively, you don't react well to criticism, and if these guys want to pursue sanctions against you, I'll be right behind them. Improve your game. - Begoon, I take your criticism against me with open arms. Begoon I have nothing against u or NeilN, I know your guys have vast experience and knowledge regarding Wiki edits. I will take your advice as well as help from you as far as Wiki edits are concern. But, Stalwart111 thinks whatever edits he making is only correct while the other person when making any credible changes he immediately gets irked. Anyway I thank you for giving me proper advice on this issue.--♥ Kkm010 ♥ ߷ ♀ Contribs ♀ 14:34, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah - but I've heard all that before. Stop behaving like a dick or I'll find the time tomorrow to get you blocked. In the meantime, apologise to these people you've upset, and adjust your behaviour. You woke me up now, I'll be watching. Stop being a bloody nuisance. Your choice. Begoon 14:45, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
- Begoon I haven't looked into this so I'm not sure where this hostility is coming from. I also can't figure out why Kkm010's edit on Accenture was reverted. --NeilN 14:56, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
- Ok. The "hostility" comes from the fact that Kkm is a self entitled editor (we have history here) who is never prepared to help himself, yet feels he is automatically entitled to help. It goes back a long way. Graphics workshop archives may help. I'm also extremely concerned about the amount of edits he makes to statistics and numbers on the site, using primary or dubious sources. You can check the history for yourself. Also, don't breeze into a situation and classify my actions as "hostility" without a bit more research. thanks. Begoon 15:06, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
- Then I suggest you refrain from using phrases like "stop behaving like a dick" and actually explain what is wrong with the edits which led to this confrontation. --NeilN 15:21, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
- Neil, you may enjoy that misconception on your own. I seem to have lost interest in this discussion. "You suggest I refrain"? Grow up. This is a long term annoying user, correctly called out on bad behaviour. You, on the other hand, are just annoying me now, though I thought better of you elsewhere, I seem to remember. Ah well.
- Begoon I haven't looked into this so I'm not sure where this hostility is coming from. I also can't figure out why Kkm010's edit on Accenture was reverted. --NeilN 14:56, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
- Kkm has a history of disruptive editing and despite suggestions to the contrary, I'm not the only one who has reverted their contributions to Accenture and a range of other articles. My interaction with them started at that article when, despite multiple talk page threads between several editors seeking to find a consensus about specific figures and terms used in the article, Kkm arrived, ignored those discussions and then edit-warred to add unreliably sourced information to the article. The latest edits are the same - unreliably sourced original research based on their own interpretation of raw data from Google Finance. This editor seems to think that because they are an "expert" and can interpret raw financial data to draw particular conclusions, the rules don't apply to them. Then they blindly edit-war to keep their original research in various articles. The suggestion that I haven't engaged is absolute rubbish. Every time I revert Kkm I use edit summaries and usually add a note here too - which is why this talk page is full of final warnings. I'm not the only one. By comparison, Kkm uses broken-English edit-summaries that don't actually explain what they are doing, and despite the edit-warring, this is the longest discussion in which they have participated on the matter. St★lwart 22:37, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
- This, for example, is being edit-warred into the Infosys article, described by Kkm as an "annual report" published by the company. That would still be a primary source that requires interpretation. But it isn't even that - it's a Google Finance extract based on a NYSE listing with raw financial data which is then being interpreted by Kkm and added to the article. I think Kkm knows that sort of source is completely inappropriate and so dishonestly describes it as something else which, ironically, is still inappropriate. Kkm's complete lack of regard for basic policies and guidelines like WP:V and WP:OR is why we are here. St★lwart 22:50, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
- Just to be absolutely clear, beyond the deceitful descriptions, personal interpretations and edit-warring, even Google (who publishes Kkm's "source") agrees it's not a reliable source of information and tags all such search results (which is what they are) with, "Information is provided "as is" and solely for informational purposes, not for trading purposes or advice, and may be delayed". St★lwart 23:09, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
- @Stalwart111: Thank you for your explanation. You asserting the Google Finance is not an appropriate source? But the current version of Accenture uses Google Finance as do other articles like General Motors. What's the difference? Apologies if I'm missing something obvious. Secondly, I disagree that annual reports are primary sources for reporting raw financial numbers. These generally require no interpretation and are used in articles like Disney, Comcast, Tata Group, etc. --NeilN 00:25, 9 October 2014 (UTC)
- Used in the way Kkm is trying to use it, such a source would not be considered a secondary source; published by the company, about the company. That's okay for basic statements of fact and other articles for companies indeed use annual reports (as you rightly point out). But Kkm is interpreting raw data and extrapolating year-on-year financial results. Some annual reports would indeed include such analysis and inclusion in those instances would be fine. But again, we're not talking about an "annual report" - Kkm has simply called the raw data that because... well I don't know why, but given their history it's hard to assume it's for good-faith reasons. Why would you refer to raw data from a Google search result as an "annual report" in a context where even the least informed editor knows exactly what an actual annual report is? Nobody is suggesting that Google Finance, generally, is unreliable. But this is Kkm "googling" something and then copy-pasting the URL of the search result into an article and calling it an "annual report". If other articles use the same "source" in the same style then that should be addressed. Please also give some consideration to the 2-year-long campaign of disruption we have been dealing with from this editor. There's an extensive history which includes previous blocks for edit-warring and multiple warnings from editors sick of Kkm skirting consensus and adding unreliably sourced material to corporate articles based on his/her own research. St★lwart 01:28, 9 October 2014 (UTC)
- It's a long-term pattern of inserting self-interpreted data with misleading edit summaries, and edit-warring over its inclusion. Stalwart has it right in that Kkm appears to believe themselves some sort of "expert" because they can google some numbers, wrongly interpret them, and stick them in articles. I'm going to apologise for what I said earlier, I don't think they are being a "dick", I think they probably believe they are "helping", but lack the competence to understand that, actually, this kind of editing is very damaging. They are also utterly incapable of learning from criticism, or listening to advice. The length of time this has been happening for is distressing. I'm also sorry, Neil, that I lost my temper with you - I should not have done that. I find this type of editing and attitude extremely frustrating, and it upsets me when people defend it, particularly when they are people I have often seen talking much sense. Begoon 02:15, 9 October 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for the apology Begoon. I was one of the first to encounter Kkm010 and subsequent encounters were problematic but I was genuinely puzzled by the reaction for the Accenture edit. --NeilN 03:30, 9 October 2014 (UTC)
- Guys I still don't understand why aren't you accepting the Google Finance data. As the data is accurate with the annual report that the company publishes. Anyway I will not put Google finance suppose if I put data from Bloomberg finance or Yahoo Finance or MSN Money will that be ok or you will still squabble with me. Guys our job is ensure that the data are put are correct as well ensuring that we provide a credible and reliable source to support that data. As NeilN already mentioned that there are several of the company articles where Google or Yahoo or MSN finance sources re used.--♥ Kkm010 ♥ ߷ ♀ Contribs ♀ 04:22, 9 October 2014 (UTC)
- I'm more and more convinced this is a competence and language problem. Despite multiple warnings and extensive explanations, Kkm still doesn't understand why his original research and unreliable sources are being reverted and thinks all those who think him disruptive are simply "squabbling" with him. These are the same responses we got month ago on Talk:Accenture. Kkm, if you can't understand simple concepts, having had them explained to you many times by multiple people, perhaps you should give editing a rest for a while. We don't require expertise but we do require basic competence; competence you don't seem to have and don't seem to want to acquire. I can guarantee you this - if you continue to edit in a disruptive fashion I will not hesitate to bring this to WP:ANI where your "I don't understand" and "they don't like me" responses will almost guarantee you a block. The fact that you still don't understand the difference between primary data with your interpretation and secondary sources with financial analysis says it all really. - This is not a two-way edit-war. You are adding unreliable sources and original research to articles. Not one person has agreed with you that your edits are anything but disruptive. You have been told as much here and on the talk page of various articles. You have been warned by me and many others. I am just the latest in a long line of edits who believes you are disruptive and not competent enough to be editing here. - This is just silly. "Key people" generally means current staff (per notes at {{Infobox company}}) but that's not "must" and there is no restriction on adding prominent immediate-past executives if reliable sources consider them notable. Regardless, edit-warring while you're at ANI trying to defend your edit-warring elsewhere is just incredible. St★lwart 23:17, 9 October 2014 (UTC)
"Religion" and "ethnicity" in infoboxes
Please see Template:Infobox person which explains that:
- Religion should be supported with a citation from a reliable source
- Ethnicity should be supported with a citation from a reliable source
I note that you have added religion and/or ethnicity to several articles recently. Please provide the required citations at those articles, or undo the additions.
Since this matter is related to our WP:BLP policy, which is taken very seriously, please deal with it urgently. Thank you. Begoon 05:36, 10 October 2014 (UTC)
