Nikola Jokić (born February 19, 1995) is a Serbian professional basketball player who currently plays for Mega Vizura of the Serbian League. He was selected with the 41st overall pick by the Denver Nuggets in the 2014 NBA draft.
Professional career
In 2012, Jokić signed with Mega Vizura but played mostly for their junior team in 2012–13. In 2013–14, he played 13 games for Mega Vizura in the Serbian League and 25 games in the Adriatic League.
On June 26, 2014, Jokić was selected with the 41st overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft by the Denver Nuggets.
Following the selection in the NBA Draft and departure of Ratko Varda, he became one of the team leaders in the 2014–15 season. In the first game of the ABA League, he led his team to a 103–98 victory over MZT Skopje, by scoring 27 points and grabbing 15 rebounds for a total index rating of 44.
