In the fictional Star Trek universe, the DY-100 is an interplanetary cargo ship for use within the Solar System. DY-100 vessels used nuclear-powered engines and were equiped with suspended-animation facilities for extended voyages. They were launched in the 1990s and used extensively. Sleeper ships like the DY-100 fell from general use by 2018 because of significant improvements to propulsion technology. The basic design is still in use in the by the 23rd century, as the DY-500 class. It is a sublight vessel.
