Thanks for stopping by!

Here in Misplaced Pages, I go by "Winkelvi". I enjoy patrolling the "Recent changes" page, looking for vandalism by IP addresses. As a reviewer, I'm also often reviewing and then either accepting or rejecting pending changes. While I try to be accurate with the reverts I make and the subsequent warnings I leave on talk pages, I am only human and will make mistakes from time to time. If you're here because of an editing issue or a revert I've made to one or more of your edits and you feel I've made an error, please leave me a civil message on my talk page.

When you leave a message on my talk page and a response from me is appropriate, I will reply to you here, not on your talk page. Having half a conversation on a talk page and going back and forth between pages is unnecessarily confusing and a pain in the ass.

If you're here to whine, complain, or express anger, please go elsewhere.

One last thing: Some administrators and non-admin regular joe editors are great, some are total assholes. Some administrators have had the tools way to long and some editors take themselves way too seriously. Too many of the aforementioned have totally lost the idea behind the "anyone can edit" philosophy. If at all possible, they are best to be avoided. -- Winkelvi 00:42, 26 March 2014 (UTC)

Asperger's.

If you've had any kind of issue or misunderstanding in your dealings with me, there is an excellent article/essay on Misplaced Pages editors with Asperger's found here that might help.

Keenan Thompson

You removed my Kenan Thompson edit saying TMZ is not a reliable source-- there are numerous other pages that cite TMZ so not sure why it woudl be flagged as unreliable. To your credit though I did further research and you are right some reports say this is just a rumor and not completely true so you are right in deleting my edit. I just want to clarify for future edits I make that I can indeed source TMZ as long as it is verified right? Just dont want to make mistakes on other pages so guidance would be appreciated--tnx — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sarahchristenson (talkcontribs) 07:41, 28 October 2014 (UTC)

TMZ is not considered a reliable source for Misplaced Pages articles as it's akin to an Internet and television version of THe National Enquirer. There are certainly articles here that use TMZ as a reference; that's an error which should be corrected. Things go unnoticed and hopefully get rectified eventually due to editor awareness. Now that you are aware, when you run into articles that have TMZ listed as a reference, you are welcome to remove the reference and associated content (if there is no other reference listed). Thanks, -- WV 10:56, 28 October 2014 (UTC)

I wasn't aware of this thank you for claryfying and I will go by this goign forward. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sarahchristenson (talkcontribs) 01:37, 2 November 2014 (UTC)

Meghan Trainor

Hi :) So, I created the main article Meghan Trainor discography. But you reverts. I don't understand. Help me. - Shane Harper 4 Life 11:25, 21 October 2014 (UTC)

As the warning on your talk page indicated, you blanked a large portion of the Trainor article page. You provided no edit summary. It looked like vandalism. -- WV 11:29, 21 October 2014 (UTC)

Hi Winkelvi/Thomas Kinkaide

Hi Winkelvi! I can respect your position about the Thomas Kinkaide page. While I do personally and sincerely feel that the article does not adhere to neautrality, I know that the talk page is the most appropriate place instead of me cutting out sections for the arcticle. My apologies. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kingslove2013 (talkcontribs) 18:56, 29 October 2014 (UTC)

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Johnnie Ray may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • metadc19746/m1/ |title=Show 2 – Play A Simple Melody: American pop music in the early fifties. [Part 2] : UNT Digital Library |publisher=Digital.library.unt.edu |year=1969 |accessdate=
  • Back At East Side Club |publisher=NYTimes.com |date=May 22, 1981|accessdate=June 13, 2014}}</ref>}}

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 01:54, 31 October 2014 (UTC)

Spouse

Unless Misplaced Pages is now redefining spouse in the infobox, that's completely irrelevant. The template has two fields: "spouse" and "partner (unmarried long-term partner)". And to use language you used to me, stay the hell off my talk page. Any communication from you is harassment.--Tenebrae (talk) 04:31, 4 November 2014 (UTC)

Any communication from me is harassment? No, it's not. But, don't you think it's pretty funny I told you to stay off my talk page, and yet, here you are? I guess I should consider you posting here as harassment (using your reasoning above)? If you are interested in supporting your argument regarding the infobox with MOS policy, then do so. If you cannot, and if it does come out they are in a committed homosexual relationship, spouse will be applicable for the other guy. And I will champion putting into the infobox that way. And, by the way, I think I said "stay the fuck off my talkpage", not the version you remember. -- WV 04:40, 4 November 2014 (UTC)

You came to my page and said something with no basis in WIkipedia policy or guideline — that's deliberately baiting me, since you could have chosen not to say anything to me. And your pride in being vulgar is misplaced. And "talk page" is two words, by the way.
I quoted the Misplaced Pages template. If you can't understand the words "unmarried long-term partner," that's your own issue and no one else's. Your own personal terminology preference doesn't trump the template.
You commented on my page and I responded. You commented again, and I responded. We're even. I'd like to leave it at that and never interact with you again. Do not bait me again, or I will go to the admins who dealt with us before and lay out your new actions. --Tenebrae (talk) 04:50, 4 November 2014 (UTC)

I wasn't fucking baiting you, I was trying to inform you. Grow up, get over your grudge, and move on past it (like someone who claims to be a professional journalist should and would do). -- WV 04:53, 4 November 2014 (UTC)

How are you informing me when your information is incorrect, according to the Misplaced Pages infobox person template?
And I've had it with the cursing. You have no right to curse other editors, and you had no business coming to my talk page after creating antagonistic drama in June. I don't know why you're fixated on me, but you had no reason whatsoever to come to my talk page. Yes, that's baiting. --Tenebrae (talk) 05:16, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
