Bradley Wiggins, OBE (born April 28, 1980) is an English racing cyclist. He won three medals in cycling at the Athens 2004 Summer Olympics.
Wiggins was born in Ghent, Belgium but grew up in Maida Vale, London. He won gold in the 4km individual pursuit in Athens before winning a silver in the team pursuit, and a bronze with Rob Hayles in the Madison.
At the Sydney 2000 Summer Olympics, Wiggins won bronze in the team pursuit.
Wiggins is riding for the French professional road cycling team Cofidis in 2006, including in the 2006 Tour de France.
In 2005, Wiggins rode for the French professional road cycling team Crédit Agricole, and rode in the 2005 Giro d'Italia.
In the New Year's Honours List published 31 December 2004 he was created an OBE for services to Sport.
