Welcome to our family, Bosstopher, and I'll be your guide around here whenever you need help. Misplaced Pages is all about new knowlegable users, wishing to see your contributions around, once in awhile. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Misplaced Pages
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- How to write a great article
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Misplaced Pages:Questions, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there; I'll be happy to answer it soonest. Again, welcome! I'm always here to help: ~ AdvertAdam 17:46, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
WikiProject Wikify Discussion Invitation
Hi there! You are receiving this message because you are a participant of WikiProject Wikify. After the retirements of our first two executive coordinators, Mono and Guoguo12, WikiProject Wikify is undergoing a period of transition. We are currently holding a discussion to create a plan for the future, find volunteers to help fill our many administrative positions, collect any feedback about what has happened in the last six months, propose some new guidelines, and see if there are any creative ideas to increase participation. We appreciate your input! |

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Case/GamerGate opened
You recently offered a statement in a request for arbitration. The Arbitration Committee has accepted that request for arbitration and an arbitration case has been opened at Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Case/GamerGate. Evidence that you wish the arbitrators to consider should be added to the evidence subpage, at Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Case/GamerGate/Evidence. Please add your evidence by December 11, 2014, which is when the evidence phase closes. You can also contribute to the case workshop subpage, Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Case/GamerGate/Workshop. For a guide to the arbitration process, see Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Guide to arbitration. For the Arbitration Committee, Ks0stm 22:27, 27 November 2014 (UTC)
Your ArbCom heading
As brought up by Ryulong, you should change your header to "Evidence presented by Bosstopher", and keep a serious tone, you don't want jokes to subtract to any points you're making or get on the wrong side or the Arbitrators. Disambiguation link notification for December 17
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Abdul Karim Khasawneh, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jordanian. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

pLEASE ALLOW CRITICISM OF WIKIPEDIA.
CRITICISM MEANS YOU WILL NOT LIKE IT: ACCEPT THAT. wHY HAVE AN ARTICLE NAMED CRITICISM IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO ACCEPT STATEMENTS ABOUT WIKIPEDIA THAT YOU DO NOT LIKE. ParvisStPierre (talk) 00:02, 11 January 2015 (UTC)
Criticism means I will say things you do not like: everyone understands that. You should too: you will not like what I say: that is what criticism means. Accept it. Or do you think I will state things you like on the "criticism" page?? ParvisStPierre (talk) 00:06, 11 January 2015 (UTC)
- They would have been removed because it was all original research, or at best uncited, and full of opinion. The writing is also very poor. HalfHat 00:14, 11 January 2015 (UTC) Edit you also appear to have violated WP:3rr please familiarize yourself with Misplaced Pages policy. HalfHat 00:17, 11 January 2015 (UTC)
Answer to your question on ArbCom Case
Regarding this on the talk page, DungeonSiegeAddict510 confirmed the doxing in this edit on his talk page back in November. No need for him to risk his breaking his t-ban to confirm. — Strongjam (talk) 15:23, 20 January 2015 (UTC)
For the record, Titanium Dragon was also doxed. Tutelary was actually doxed twice. Once by Wikipediocracy (in the form of a photo) for inserting some of the material about Quinn and another time by 8chan for noting the pedophilia issue in that site's article.--The Devil's Advocate tlk. cntrb. 07:23, 21 January 2015 (UTC)
- Also, you should link to the actual case where Starship provided the evidence against Tarc. It is here.--The Devil's Advocate tlk. cntrb. 07:45, 21 January 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks, didnt notice the case had been archived. As for Titanium Dragon, the reason I didnt list him is because (as he commented in the ANI thread) he didn't seem particularly bothered by it and felt his identity was no secret. If @Titanium Dragon: feels I've misrepresented him, I'd be willing to mention him too. Bosstopher (talk) 12:09, 21 January 2015 (UTC)
- Who I am is a matter of public record (I use this identity all over the internet, and do so in a number of places in conjunction with my real life name - it is more of a pen name than a pseudonym, as I'm not trying to hide my identity), but feeling more or less victimized by it is irrelevant - we should certainly not reward people for overreacting to such things. The group which did this did not realize that my screen name and real name were publicly linked. Doxxing is, fundamentally, a threat and an attempt at intimidation. "If you don't like what you do we'll find your real name (and real photographs of you, in the case of Tutelary) and write an article smearing you." I will note that the reason that they didn't call me misogynistic was probably because they found one of my blog posts about feminism. The thing which is most bothersome about it is that they tried it in the first place, and that Gamaliel expressed his opinion there:
- If we had more power to block obvious SPAs and agenda pushers, then less of this stuff would happen, but every time we even attempt to take action against these types, there’s a chorus of OMG ADMIN ABUSE!!!!1!, and the loudest ones are people from this site. Make up your mind.
- Shortly before he applied the first (rescinded) topic ban. Titanium Dragon (talk) 22:17, 21 January 2015 (UTC)
