The Greater and Lesser Tunbs, and Abu Musa

The Greater and Lesser Tunbs (in Persian: تنب بزرگ و تنب کوچک "Tunb-e Buzurg & Tunb-e Kuchak") (tunb is Persian for "hilly place") are two islands in the eastern Persian Gulf.

These and the island of Abu Musa are Iranian islands. They are administered as part of the province of Hormozgan.

The surface of the Greater Tunb is 10.3 km² and the lesser Tunb 2 km².

There is a red soil mine active on the Greater Tunb Island.
