Carl Jackson Entertainment
Why are you deleting a page that has been up for 4 years? We made all the changes to Carl Jackson Entertainment and you falsely deleted the page. Unambiguous advertising or promotion: no independent sources, no evidence of notability is simply not true. You should try google next time before making such an assessment. And If you delete Carl Jackson Entertainment studio you have to delete Freesyle Releasing and Magnet releasing. https://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=Magnolia_Pictures&redirect=no ...At best you could have redirected the page or asked for more references. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sarahent (talk • contribs) 06:59, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
Carl Jackson Entertainment
A group of editors known as “deletionists” are said to “edit first and ask questions later,” making it harder for new contributors to participate, and making it harder for Misplaced Pages—which, again, aspires to provide “the sum of all human knowledge”—to overcome the issue that it is controlled by a stagnant pool of editors from a limited demographic.
2. Accurate contributors can be silenced. Deletionists on Misplaced Pages often rely on the argument that a contribution comes from an “unreliable source,” with the editor deciding what is reliable. An incident last year showed the degree to which editors at the very top of Misplaced Pages were willing to rely on this crutch when it suits their purpose.
When the Taliban kidnapped New York Times reporter David Rohde in Afghanistan, the paper convinced 40 media organizations plus Misplaced Pages not to report on it out of concerns that it would compromise Rohde's safety. Misplaced Pages co-founder Jimmy Wales told the Times, once Rohde was free, that “We were really helped by the fact that it (postings on Rohde) hadn’t appeared in a place we would regard as a reliable source.” Thus, Wales and other senior Misplaced Pages editors showed they were willing to rely on the “unreliable source” canard to delete information they had been told by a very reliable source was true, even when a more noble reason—Rohde’s safety—would have justified it.
And finally, the number one reason you can't cite or rely on Misplaced Pages:
1. It says so on Misplaced Pages. Misplaced Pages says, “We do not expect you to trust us.” It adds that it is “not a primary source” and that “because some articles may contain errors,” you should “not use Misplaced Pages to make critical decisions.”
Furthermore, as Misplaced Pages notes in its “About” section, “Users should be aware that not all articles are of encyclopedic quality from the start: they may contain false or debatable information.”

I am doing an assignment, getting to know the creation process at the same time, spent hours on it to see it was deleted. What can i do to get it restored? Nickesha Senior (talk) 07:54, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
Thank you very much i am going to see how i can improve it and add sources to it. It might be there for a few hours but i will be coming back to do the edit as soon as i am off work. Nickesha Senior (talk) 14:31, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
I really need some help with this wiki page please help me. I am thinking to use a timeline for some of the info how do i put this in? Nickesha Senior (talk) 15:07, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) The problem with the article is the wording is too close to Peters's bio on the web (). Even if it's not a verbatim copy, it's pretty similar, and the little bit of rewording you did doesn't appear to cure that problem. We don't restore articles that violate copyright. I've deleted your sandbox for the same reason. I don't know where this "assignment" stems from, but, regardless, school assignments cannot trump our policies.--Bbb23 (talk) 16:00, 21 February 2015 (UTC)

Deletion of page Naeem "Nick" Noorani
NickNoorani (talk) 16:48, 21 February 2015 (UTC) Hello Jim,
I noticed my page had been deleted in December. The reason has been cited as (G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion). Reading that particular section it says" If a subject is notable and the content can be replaced with text that complies with neutral point of view, this is preferable to deletion." I do believe my work in the immigration and multicultural space does warrant a Wiki page. I would be happy to comply with any specific aspects that do not meet the Misplaced Pages standards. I would really appreciate if you could kindly do so thereby helping me get the page back up. Thank you, Nick Noorani

Draft:Welshentag1 (Distinktion journal article)
Hi Jimfbleak! Thanks for the contact. Please do supply me with the information and recommendations that you indicated on my Talkpage regarding my rubbish entry on Distinktion. I take the criticism. I suppose I was complacent and was seduced a little by the routine and perfunctory nature of the entry (an article on an academic journal). I await your instruction. Jean Fourton's page deletion
Hi,
I really don't understand wy my page about Jean Fourton was deleted, I spent hours completing the article with references and I contested the speedy deletion nomination with a message (which noboby never answered), and now it's gone, no traces can be found!? I'd like to know why you've done this. I did explain myself why this person has an importance in arts and psychoanalysis history. Furthermore, the article fits the rules and references were good.
Could you explain your deletion? Are you able to cancel this, and make the article available again?
Thank you
Taaflb (talk) 14:47, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
Thank you very much for your answer and your useful advices! I will do my best to adapt the article to them. Thanks again.Taaflb (talk) 17:53, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
ZogSports page deletion
Hi Jim,
What were the reasons for the ZogSports page deletion? It provided background information about the company's founding and impact. If there are edits which can be made to prevent its deletion, please advise. Thank you

Meridian Compensation Partners page deletion
Hi,
I understand the reasoning behind deleting the Meridian Compensation Partners page (copyright issues). Because I am planning on recreating this page and addressing this issue, I wanted to send you a message first as Misplaced Pages is telling me to contact the deleting administrator before I do that. If I rewrite the article so that it does not contain copyrighted content, will that pass muster?
Thank you. Glcmedia (talk) 22:39, 23 February 2015 (UTC)

Request to userfy a deleted page
Hello Cullen328! A group of us from Wikimedia DC have been collaborating to improve coverage of African Americans in STEM in connection with an editathon, Misplaced Pages:Meetup/DC/African Americans in STEM. One of our newer editors put his worklist, List of African American men in STEM fields, in mainspace and it got deleted. Could we please request you userfy and restore this list, either in the list creator's userspace, or in my userspace, User:Djembayz? We had a bunch of *really knowledgeable subject experts* at this event, so we experienced editors want to look through those suggestions for articles. It's possible some need print or subscription sources. Would you please bring this page back for us so we can continue our collaboration? It would be a shame if this well-informed new contributor's work got lost! --Djembayz (talk) 02:37, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

NuPRL Deletion
Hello, the NuPRL page was deleted under the concern that it contained promotional content, which was not the intention at all. It has been up for a while with no problems until the recent edits from the last few days, so I was hoping to have it restored to that state which seemed to be fine. I will ensure that no promotional or hints of promotional content is added and that everything on there abides by the Wiki guidelines.
Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nuprl (talk • contribs) 20:18, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
Deletion of Userpage for User:Tobyreyes
Hello, Jimfbleak. You recently deleted the userpage of one of my students, who was using his user page as a sandbox for a soon-to-be-created article. First, I feel it's poor form to delete another user's userpage, particularly when it reflects recent, iterative edits. Second, by deleting the page you render inaccessible the previous content. I cannot look at what my student created, even through your contributions page. No one else can scrutinize your decision. You unilaterally expunged the page and its history. Here is the timestamp of the edit in question.
01:25, 21 February 2015 Jimfbleak (talk | contribs) deleted page User:Tobyreyes (G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion)
Please restore this userpage or render accessible the history, so that I can evaluate the work of my student. If there is a more appropriate "staging area" for an article being created, I would welcome your feedback. JediLibrarian (talk) 21:13, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

Reistate

Ota Fine Arts
Your block of an editor from this gallery seems maybe to have resulted in a try-again edit from IP# 180.131.118.69. It's the only edit from that IP# to date and occurs at https://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=Yayoi_Kusama&diff=next&oldid=648003643; you'd reverted the same edit once before from the now-blocked editor. Your rationale for the block seems valid and I expect maybe you're also better equipped to take it the next step if you deem it appropriate. I just watch the article for other reasons. If I can help further, let me know. If there were an adequate article about the gallery I think I'd feel the link was OK. Thanks. Swliv (talk) 15:56, 27 February 2015 (UTC)
- I have no problem with the sentence and inclusion of Ota name; but can imagine the problem with the earlier Ota article. Appreciate your work. Swliv (talk) 17:31, 27 February 2015 (UTC)
Deletion of Gigantic (video game)
Hi there. I'm the creator of this now-deleted page, and I hadn't logged in in time to contest the speedy deletion nomination. I thought I had written it from a neutral POV and used a couple of reliable sources to describe its gameplay, so I don't understand how the page may have been unambiguous advertising or non-notable. Anyway, would it be possible for me to retrieve its contents and improve it? Thanks. Takinzinnia (talk • contribs) 06:16, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
Thank you for providing me the deleted page to improve. However, I now believe the article should not have been speedily deleted in the first place. I have added a detailed explanation on my talk page, and would appreciate your participation in the discussion. Takinzinnia (talk • contribs) 20:45, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
Query
Hi Jim - I am working on the revised page. Quick question - many web pages get deleted so if I have pdf's of these pages (external public pages like newspaper items) would they be acceptable?
Thanks! Nick Noorani

I am planning on recreating this page and addressing this issue, I wanted to send you a message first as Misplaced Pages is telling me to contact the deleting administrator before I do that.

DELETION OF MOGAS GROUP article
Hi there! I noticed that you've deleted an article I have created for MOGAS Group more than twice! I'd like to know what exactly about it that does not meet the infringements guidelines so that I can work on it. ASAP. I am under a deadline, and the deletions have really frustrated the progress of my work. I am grateful for any comments/feedback that will help get this page: https://en.wikipedia.org/MOGAS_Group launched soon! Mgsmogas (talk) 11:08, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
Response to message about Andrew Lambert
What I have said aout Andrew Lanbert was not an attack. I disagree with what he says in his book. A lot of it is out of sync with the historical data, e.g. his claim that the Royal Navy captured 34 US warships in the War of 1812. I notice that whoever deleted my edit to the article on the Andrew Lambert page did not impeach the data I presented about Andrew Lambert's claim. He simply deleted it. One can not dismiss historical data simply because that data does not fit with one's view of history. And Andrew Lambert is not at all respectful in his writing about the US Navy.It seems to me Andrew Lambert is inconsistent if he expects to receive respect but does not give it. Read C Forester's The Age of Fighting Sai, a history of the Naval War of 1812 published in the 1950, available as a Kindle donload from Amazon.s. Mr. Forester was British. He wrote about the War from a British point of view. However he did not resort to distortions about the US Navy nor did he disrespect the personnel of the US Navy. I also noted whoever deleted my page on the Scholarship f Andrew Lambert did not impeach the data I presented. He simply deleted it, which is a de facto admission that he could not delete it. Now, are you going to delete this message or will you try to impeach thee data I presented?Kighva Kighva (talk) 11:16, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
Endgame: Ancient Truth
Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=Talk:Endgame:_Ancient_Truth
Jimfbleak:
Hi, you fast deleted a page for the mobile app game "Endgame: Ancient Truth" which is a stand alone version existing in the same "augmented reality" as "Endgame: The calling" a puzzle book and transmedia story telling. The distinction being that it is a completely different platform (a cell phone application versus a paperback book - that interacts with live acted events, user generated events and webpages setup to create it's own story weaving in the people who play. It essentially is going to be a 24/7 mystery murder dinner type event that people all over the world write the script on the fly and will read about later. The mobile app is similar to other game applications that already exist in that they were revolutionary to the genre of gaming and have significant historical impact on gaming, popular media culture (which I try not to follow), and the development of programing applications on the internet. None of these other pages have been delete, though I fully invite you to delete one of these if you feel that are not justified:
https://en.wikipedia.org/World_of_Warcraft https://en.wikipedia.org/Google_Hangouts https://en.wikipedia.org/Global_Positioning_System https://en.wikipedia.org/Storytelling
If you have reviewed these pages and still feel this deletion of the "endgame" and thus the history of human interaction with the internet & the use of the media necessary, please list in depth the reasons and why you feel they apply.
Thank you,
