Glen Campbell

Other articles like Reba McEntire, George Jones, Jo Dee Messina, Tanya Tucker, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Loretta Lynn, etc. use this. Also, note that what you said here, you said "other main careers", but Campbell has had a variety show called The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour on CBS television and has been in other filmography. Just because Taylor Swift doesn't have doesn't mean others do. Corkythehornetfan | Chat? 06:05, 1 March 2015 (UTC)

Corkythehornetfan, There is no reason, as there is no other career section, all those articles aren't Good Articles, except for Reba McEntire, which is also known for acting. Also, he is not known for acting, why do you think he has infobox musical artist instead of person? -- Joseph Prasad (talk) 06:09, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
(edit conflict) Okay, but it doesn't make since to have all of the sections in the GC article to be level 2 sections headers. The sections for his career should be listed under a main level 2 section heading and the following as section 3 or lower. Let's be consistent with most other musician articles. Recent edit to Pink (singer)

Hello, and thank you for your recent contribution. I appreciate the effort you made for our project, but unfortunately I had to undo your edit because I believe the article was better before you made that change. The stylized version of her name is covered in the lead, but per WP:STAGENAME, the most commonly used name should be the name of the page (which it is), and that name should match the name in the infobox. Feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions. Thank you! Onel5969 (talk) 13:17, 4 March 2015 (UTC)

Death Battle

Information icon Hello, I'm 85.210.181.124. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Death Battle without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Misplaced Pages with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. List of 2015 albums

Sure a reason!!!!! I was just adding TWO new albums out in July! But u destroyed my work! Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Trickykidd (talkcontribs) 06:52, 5 March 2015 (UTC)

Trickykidd, well, you could have mentioned that in your edit summary, and it is not much work. Not hard to press the revert button. -- Joseph Prasad (talk) 06:56, 5 March 2015 (UTC)

Well, you are right. To add the third quarter was not much work! But u deleted it while i was adding new albums. THIS was much work. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Trickykidd (talkcontribs) 06:59, 5 March 2015 (UTC)

Well, just know to provide what you were doing in the edit summary. -- Joseph Prasad (talk) 07:11, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
I always did Trickykidd (talk) 07:13, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
Yes, but you didn't provide enough, your edit summary was very broad, and made it seem like you were adding a section for no reason. -- Joseph Prasad (talk) 07:15, 5 March 2015 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 8

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited I Know (Drake Bell song), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Digital download (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Drake's Album

Stop trying to make it a mixtape. It literally doesn't matter what he wants to call it to keep his fans from being disappointed in the quality, the fact that it was sold for $12.99 on iTunes and allegedly fulfills a 4 album contract with Cash Money is proof enough that it's an album. Drop the issue, because I won't. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Justinw303 (talkcontribs) 16:41, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

For one, that's original research, two, if that fufilled the contract, he wouldn't be making Views from the 6 with the same label. Three, Billboard says it's a mixtape. -- Joseph Prasad (talk) 19:10, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

No, actually, Billboard calls it an album: http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/6480631/drake-entire-album-hot-rb-hip-hop-songs-chart

I will be correcting it again when I get home from work tonight.

— Preceding unsigned comment added by Justinw303 (talkcontribs) 16:47, 9 March 2015 (UTC)

Justinw303, you were saying it filled the four album contract, if it did, he would be with the same label, and look at this article: http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/the-juice/6472740/drake-releases-if-youre-reading-this-its-too-late-album-out-of, it says: "If You're Reading This It's Too Late precedes Views From the 6, Drake's fourth official full-length album and follow-up to 2013's Nothing Was The Same." That means they are calling it a mixtape. Other sites call it a mixtape as well, such as this one: http://www.hotnewhiphop.com/stream-drake-s-surprise-mixtape-if-you-re-reading-this-it-s-too-late-news.13974.html and this one: http://hollywoodlife.com/2015/02/13/drake-new-mixtape-if-youre-reading-this-its-too-late-listen/. And, I found this: http://noisey.vice.com/blog/the-real-difference-between-a-mixtape-and-an-album, which says "basically just full-length projects that didn’t go through standard record label vetting and distribution", which it did not go through the standard.-- Joseph Prasad (talk) 17:08, 9 March 2015 (UTC)

Funny how you link to a billboard article that calls it an album several times.

You're not understanding this: If you sell a collection of songs for $12.99 on Itunes, it's an album. It does not matter AT ALL what certain sites choose to call it, it does not change the fact that it's an album. Mixtapes don't go Gold, they don't get coverage from Billboard, and they don't cost money. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Justinw303 (talkcontribs) 12:57, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

What you don't understand is you're reasoning is original research, and pay attention to the quote from Billboard, not just find your own opinion. -- Joseph Prasad (talk) 13:11, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring and violating the three-revert rule. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  Swarm... 07:43, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

  • Regardless of the merits of your argument, you can't violate WP:3RR. Sorry. I agree that you have the potential to be a positive contributor and I know you're not acting maliciously, but at a certain point if multiple users are raising concerns with your behavior, or disputing you in an argument, you might want to consider dialing it back even of you don't want to, because once you start getting worked up about something situations can get out of control and you start breaking the rules. Just so you know, there is no deadline. It may take awhile for you to get feedback on an article's talk page. And that's fine. You can and should wait it out, rather than edit war. Edit warring doesn't help. Swarm... 07:49, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

Swarm, one of the editors told me take it to the talk page, which I did, said one little thing, then afterwards, continued to edit the article. Yet when I do that it's wrong? And I'm pretty sure someone is not supposed to violate 3RR, send me warnings, and report me? And I am constantly reverted on Drake (rapper) and Drake discography when I have said to take it to the talk page? It seems others have more freedoms or I have special restrictions. -- Joseph Prasad (talk) 13:14, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

SNUGGUMS, if you don't have time it's fine, but can you comment on Seth MacFarlane's talk page in the redundant genres section? I believe that some are redundant, as Vocal Jazz, Vocal, and Jazz. You don't have to agree with me, but if you could take time to comment, that'd be great, thanks! -- Joseph Prasad (talk) 23:57, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

Joseph Prasad, you are asking SNUGGUMS to act as a proxy for you while you are blocked? Asking her to act as a meatpuppet? Seriously? Do I need to tell you that's verboten? Gawd. I suggest you take the next day and a half for the remainder of your block to read about Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines at WP:5P. You obviously don't yet understand them. -- WV 00:19, 11 March 2015 (UTC)
Again, I said that editor did not have to agree with me, just discuss on it as I cannot at the moment. Get off my back. This is seriously getting personal. Stay off. I am just trying to get other's opinions. And you do apparently didn't read the pillars, just give them to other editors. "Editors should treat each other with respect and civility: Respect your fellow Wikipedians, even when you disagree. Apply Misplaced Pages etiquette, and don't engage in personal attacks. Seek consensus, avoid edit wars, and never disrupt Misplaced Pages to illustrate a point. Act in good faith, and assume good faith on the part of others. Be open and welcoming to newcomers. If a conflict arises, discuss it calmly on the nearest talk pages, follow dispute resolution, and remember that there are 4,739,338 articles on the English Misplaced Pages to work on and discuss." -- Joseph Prasad (talk) 00:23, 11 March 2015 (UTC)
You're trying to get people to take pity on you and proxy for you. Do you want an extended block? Because if you keep it up, that's very possibly what will happen. If you recall, that's on of the reasons why User:MaranoFan ended up with his block extended. You're already on thin ice, why make it worse? And please stop thinking people are out to get you. No one is. If I was, would I have taken as much time as I have with trying to give you sound advice and help you? -- WV 00:29, 11 March 2015 (UTC)
