Speedy deletion nomination of Vardi kahana

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Vardi kahana requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Bazj (talk) 10:31, 11 January 2015 (UTC)

You need to add some references to the article to make your claims "credible". This is doubly important for biographies of living people. If you go to preferences (link at the top of the page), then gadgets, and turn on ProveIt you'll find it a lot easier to add references. Bazj (talk) 11:11, 11 January 2015 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Vardi Kahana

Hello, Arthistorian1977. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Vardi Kahana, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 11:48, 11 January 2015 (UTC)

Hi. There are three issues with this article: Firstly you can't unfortunately simply translate an article from another Wiki without including the attribution on the talk page, after all, the article was someone else's work. Secondly the article is totally unsourced and that is almost a reason for an immediate deletion for a BLP on en.Wiki. We are very strict here about sources for BLPs - far stricter than other Wikipedias. Finally, it appears that she is notable for only one thing: winning an award, and that award on its own is not enough. On Misplaced Pages being famous does not necessarily equate to being notable. What we need here are multiple, independent, reliable sources such as articles about her in the established press. For more information please see WP:CREATIVE. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 12:20, 11 January 2015 (UTC)

Your recent edits

Information icon Hello and welcome to Misplaced Pages. When you add content to talk pages and Misplaced Pages pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Tamír Triad has been reverted.
Your edit here to Tamír Triad was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://coolingpearls.wordpress.com/2009/10/28/the-tamir-triad-by-lynn-flewelling/) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Misplaced Pages.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Misplaced Pages's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Disambiguation link notification for January 19

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited William Christie (musician), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Buffalo (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Society_&_Culture/Herzliyamuse.html.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Misplaced Pages:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Replaceable fair use File:Sajan Prakash.jpeg

Thanks for uploading File:Sajan Prakash.jpeg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Misplaced Pages. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 17:06, 15 February 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Society_&_Culture/Herzliyamuse.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Misplaced Pages takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Misplaced Pages to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Misplaced Pages:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Misplaced Pages:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Proposed deletion of Glimpses: A Collection of Nightrunner Short Stories

The article Glimpses: A Collection of Nightrunner Short Stories has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No secondary sources, just a library database entry and a LiveJournal. Fails WP:NBOOK.

While all constructive contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Johann Paul Keller

Thanks for your message. I see your point, I thought that there we enough references on Misplaced Pages to his work that makes the stub relevant enough. I can understand that the texts seem promotional, that was not my intention. I'll leave the decision up to you. I am of course willing to write more on the person if you think that the relevance is high enough. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Martsniez (talkcontribs) 13:03, 24 March 2015 (UTC)

speedy A1; vandalism

A1, no context , is only for use when it is impossible to identify the subject of the article. I therefore removed your nomination of Cold War Tensions and the Polio Vaccine, because it's clearly about polio vaccine. However, it probably does duplicate content in other articles, and hat needs to be checked. DGG ( talk ) 15:03, 25 March 2015 (UTC)

Tayub naveed is not vandalism. Adding an article on a non-notableperson, even for the second time, is not an attempt to damage the encyclopedia. Vandalism is a very strong word, and should not be used except for more serious cases.

Please re-read carefully WP:CSD--the various criteria are interpreted narrowly. DGG ( talk ) 15:18, 25 March 2015 (UTC) DGG ( talk ) 15:18, 25 March 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Ivan Buyan

I would like to discuss remove a page dedicated to Ivan Buyan. He is one of the most famous Ukrainian rappers, his concerts were held in every major city in Ukraine and Belarus and Russia. His latest video gained more than 100,000 views on YouTube. There are articles about him in Ukrainian and Belarusian Misplaced Pages and it's very important. In addition to all this he appeared several times on television. I think that's enough of it to an article in the Wiki. I have created this article a few hours ago and have not had time to fill it completely. --Ukrainebestintheworld (talk) 14:09, 19 April 2015 (UTC)

Edit page Ivan Buyan

Fully edited page, added the city where he performed and proof of the veracity these performances. I think that this information is sufficient. In addition, we must remember that the development of hip-hop in different countries is not the same. For Ukraine 100,000 views and statements in the CIS countries is already significant level. I hope for understanding and the fact that you will not remove my article. --Ukrainebestintheworld (talk) 16:13, 19 April 2015 (UTC)

do not delete omniocracy

I was invited years ago by one of the major editors at Misplaced Pages to create a page for the term omniocracy. I did not do it then because I did not think there were enough references to include with the article. Now it has been discussed at length in 4 books. Two of the books came out in 2015. The term omniocracy is used at animal rights conferences, in speeches and in books. It makes a significant contribution to world knowledge. It should not be deleted. I can make the article longer if you want, but I was hoping someone else would want to add some paragraphs. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lauracaluncle (talkcontribs) 21:11, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

CSD A1

Hi! I've removed your speedy deletion tag from Omniocracy. I agree that its a neologism and likely not an article that will be kept in the long run but it does not qualify for speedy deletion. Each of the speedy deletion criteria are narrowly defined and only pages meeting those criteria qualify to be speedily deleted. CSD A1 is for articles that are very short and provide so little context that you can't figure out what its supposed to be about. While not great, the Omniocracy article does provide significant context, including who coined the phrase and where it was used.

Check out WP:PROD and WP:AFD for other ways to request article deletion when they don't qualify for speedy deletion. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. --Nick—/Contribs 21:20, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

No, red link means that the hyperlink leads to an non existing article. It's a custom here that you create hyperlink only to an existing article. Arthistorian1977 (talk) 13:05, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
