Kato Nevrokopi is a municipality in the north-west section of the Drama Prefecture, Greece. It covers an area of 872 thousands acres and its population is 8400 people. The region is known for the very low temperatures during the winter and for its famous agricultural products such as potatoes and beans. But these aren't the unique well-known things. There, you can visit and enjoy the ski center Falakro, the traditional settlement in the village Granitis, the historical bunker Lise, the artificial lakes of Lefkogia and Potami, the spectacular routes in the forests, the old churches. The short distance from Drama, half an hour for Nevrokopi and one hour for the birch tree forest in Mikromilia, helps the kind of tourism, which is quite different from the established type of holidays. Another way to reach Nevrokopi is the road from Serres from where after a journey of an hour in a mountainous and woody environment, the visitor arrives at Nevrokopi. The extensive net of forest paths as well as the European Path E6, which crosses the Prefecture, assures the pleasure of the walker-traveller and his immediate contact with nature in its grandeur. In the near future, at the Greek-Bulgarian borders at the passage of Exohi, a customhouse will be opened.
