I am trying to find out how to insert images on a page.
KJacobi1121 (talk) 01:54, 9 June 2015 (UTC)
- What are the images of? In what country were they taken? In what year? Who was the photographer or artist who originally produced the images? Arthur goes shopping (talk) 22:58, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
- If it is a book cover, then in most cases it cannot be uploaded until the Draft of the article about the book has been approved. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 23:00, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

I'm wondering how to place more info in the inbox company window as it gives me put only 5 rows below.
Also when I would be able to upload the company logo? Is it only after I have made 10 edits and been registered in Misplaced Pages for more than 4 days since I already meet these requirements and still can't do that. Thanks a lot!
Angelova V (talk) 12:18, 9 June 2015 (UTC)
- There are other fields available: see Template:Infobox company It appears you've solved the company logo problem. Not that you asked for further input, but you've submitted the article for review. It comes across a bit promotional. Some claims, such as "successful apps" need a source that clearly shows the company's apps are successful. Some of your sources appear to be press releases. These aren't disallowed per se, but they do not help toward establishing notability of your topic, and claims of success only supported by press releases will likely be removed. I hope that helps. 78.26 (spin me / revolutions) 13:16, 9 June 2015 (UTC)

I really appreciate the feedback I've gotten from a couple reviewers, including Samee and another reviewer whose name I didn't write down and I don't know how to find again. I am working hard to find acceptable external sources and will remove some parts that I just can't find anything on. Thanks again for the input. It helps a lot. Lynn

I was told the reference link does not mention anything of Sal Houdini. The article is about Sal Houdini and two other artists if you read them.
- Which draft is this about? Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 13:51, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
- The first two references only name Houdini in passing as being involved, they say nothing about him.. The third reports that he is an "unknown" singer who is involved in the leaking of an unreleased song by well known artists. So the only source that actually says anything about Houdini is entirely negative. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 13:10, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

www.dbversity.com is my own website and I've rights to copy content
192.193.171.150 (talk) 13:18, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
- It doesn't matter whether you have the right to copy the content, what matters is whether Misplaced Pages has the right to copy it. dbversity.com says "Copyright 2015 dbversity", meaning that the content cannot be used here because it doesn't indicate a compatible free license. However, even if you changed the license, the content you wrote is far too promotional sounding and not written in the neutral tone expected in an encyclopedia. You should also review our guidelines for Editing with a conflict of interest and the Guideline for the notability of websites. --Ahecht (TALK

How do I add photographs?
Rogervaughan (talk) 18:08, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
- @Rogervaughan: Based on the draft at the time you asked the question, it looks like you wanted to add photos taken by Victor Kovalenko. He would hold the copyright to those images, so you would not be allowed to use them on Misplaced Pages. If you have further questions, now that the draft has been accepted please ask them at the Misplaced Pages:Help desk. Worldbruce (talk) 19:29, 12 June 2015 (UTC)

Hello, I am wondering if the error message in my article can now be removed. It still asks me to: "Please improve this article by adding secondary or tertiary sources." I now have six secondary sources for this very short article. Do you have any other suggestions to improve this page? thanks, prapti
Praptigiri (talk) 22:22, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
- @Praptigiri: Articles for Creation deals with helping people create new articles. Once an article is in the encyclopedia, as Psychology's Feminist Voices is, it is no longer in our scope. Cleanup templates can be removed by anyone, including you if you believe that the changes that needed to be made are complete. If you're unsure or want more advice, you could solicit help at the Teahouse or perhaps from WikiProject Psychology. Or be bold and remove the {{primary sources|date=June 2014}} template. If another editor disagrees and restores the message, stop and talk to them about it. Worldbruce (talk) 04:00, 12 June 2015 (UTC)

Gfrederic (talk) 06:45, 11 June 2015 (UTC) After few changes and adding references I would like to know if the article is good now. Thank you
- @Gfrederic: Thank you for fixing the copyright/close paraphrasing problems. The draft is back in the queue and in due course a reviewer will determine whether it's good enough for approval yet. Meanwhile you might find it instructive to browse Misplaced Pages's featured and good biographies in the area of health, medicine, and biology. Note that they don't list a subject's journal articles, patents, or trademarks.
- Other reading that could help you improve the chances of the draft being accepted includes the policy Misplaced Pages:Biographies of living persons, the guidelines Misplaced Pages:Manual of Style and Misplaced Pages:Manual of Style/Biographies and the how-to guide Help:Referencing for beginners. Hello Wiki-Team, I had the comment under my draft, that I need to remove the inline-links, but I don´t know which ones where ment. The ones that refer to already existing Wiki Articles or the ones connectet to i.e. the Awardees?
I´m happy about a short feedback, Annika --Annika Schonefeld (talk) 08:35, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
- Hi @Annika Schonefeld:. What the editor referred to were "external links", or in other words, links to external (not Misplaced Pages) websites. These would include the links to the German Misplaced Pages, Facebook, and physnet.org. External links don't belong in the article's prose, only in the external links section at the bottom. ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 20:33, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

Hello,
I created this page as a reference page for food tourism in India which is still a nascent field here. As with most new things like this, there are no scholarly sources, just some news articles from different publishing houses which I have linked wherever appropriate. If there is something wrong with what I wrote, kindly mention it and I can modify it accordingly. It's not meant to promote some event, company or person but to spread awareness.

Hello,
Regarding the article I submitted, I am not sure what "neutral" here means. It's not a promotion of any individual, business or organization. It's meant as an information article about an activity in India. I have also attached a number of references from various sources, academic as well as news. Is there something else which still needs to be done ?

- Hi @TCVCJ: It looks like you've been adding your references to your edit summary. The edit summary is basically just a short description of what you did in your edit (such as 'added a reference'). People will see it when they view the article's history. The references themselves should be in the article itself, not your edit summaries. ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 20:29, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

- @Alannaldrett: Editors from all across the encyclopedia will help fix those things as soon as they get to it. Articles for Creation deals specifically with creating articles that don't exist yet, in other words getting ideas to the stage that Francis Palms is already at.
- A more serious problem is that everything in Misplaced Pages needs to be verifiable, but the article cites no sources. Concentrate on that problem first. For help with referencing, try Help:Referencing for beginners or ask at the Teahouse. --Worldbruce (talk) 23:46, 12 June 2015 (UTC)

How do I upload a photo?
Paul Grant Bradbury (talk) 13:36, 12 June 2015 (UTC)
- @Paul Grant Bradbury: If the photo is a selfie, Commons:First steps can guide you through uploading it. If someone else took the photo, then whether it may be used on Misplaced Pages depends on several things, such as when it was taken, whether it was published, where it was pubilshed, etc., but generally the copyright holder would need to release it under a suitable license. The question may be moot, however, because the draft does not show that Paul Bradbury meets Misplaced Pages's inclusion criteria. Worldbruce (talk) 17:40, 13 June 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
Respectfully, I disagree that the subject of this article is not notable. This station had a vast impact on the development of the city. It was the primary station used for the transport of troops in WW2. The station it replaced has it's own page despite being in existence for a far shorter time, so I feel this does meet requirements for notability.
I feel I've done a good job referencing, but welcome any specific criticism rather than the blanket rejection this article received.
Thanks in advance,

- As for the table of contents: you do that a different way; see what I did here. —teb728 t c 02:28, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
- For the infobox you probably want to use {{Infobox scientist}}. See Template:Infobox scientist for the parameters it accepts. —teb728 t c 03:01, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
- For your file, File:Dr. Bryant Villeponteau-2014.jpg, you need to add source and author information to the File page. I have added an information block to give you a place to add it. —teb728 t c 03:08, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
- @Dave Truesdale: Another thing to do with your draft is to get rid of the external links from the body of the article, converting them to internal links (as in the case of Geron Corporation), converting them to references (as in the case of the Distinguished Inventor Award), or removing the link (as probably in the case of Genescient). —teb728 t c 03:43, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
