Proposed deletion of James Loy (United States Navy)

Speedy deletion nomination of Derrick Harden

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Derrick Harden requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. -War wizard90 (talk) 00:39, 30 April 2015 (UTC)

Wisconsin Legislators and political parties

Hi-I noticed you are removing the political parties affliations of Wisconsin legislators from the articles. Is there a reason for this? They should be kept in. Please revert your edits on these articles. Many thanks-RFD (talk) 19:25, 12 May 2015 (UTC)

Wisconsin legislators and political parties

Hi-I notice you are still removing the political parties affliations from the Wisconsin legislators articles and no reasons were given. Please stop these edits and revert the edits you had made. And please explain why you are doing this. Thank you-RFD (talk) 10:58, 13 May 2015 (UTC)

I notice in the new articles you started on the Wisconsin Legislators, you included their political parties; yet, you removed the political parties from other articles. Please explained why you are doing this. Thank you-RFD (talk) 12:49, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
That is an absolute basic fact about any officeholder elected in a partisan election (i.e., all of the ones you removed it from) and should always be in the articles. This is simply not acceptable behavior. --Orange Mike | Talk 17:46, 14 May 2015 (UTC)

Wisconsin Legislators political party

Again I am asking you not to remove the political affliations from the Wisconsin Legislators articles. You have not provided any clear reason for doing this. And you have started new articles about Wisconsin Legislators that included their political party affliations. This makes this an unusual and illogical situation. Therefore, please stop doing this-thank you-RFD (talk) 13:27, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

Unexplained removal of content - June 2015

You recently removed a pretty big chunk of information about religious denominations at Michigan, saying only in your edit summary that you had "simplified and shortened" the text. That kind of summary is not appropriate for substantive edits such as that one (or for the similar edit you made to

Incorrect citation / reference in several articles

You've been creating a lot of articles lately about former Wisconsin legislators and appear to be using the citation for only one of them as your reference - John Johnson (b. 1833), Hiram W. Roblier, Samuel Hasey and Benjamin F. Carter all cite as a reference a link to the career of John Dunn, Jr., an article you created a week ago. There may be more - I quit looking after four articles. Please go back and fix the refs in these and any other articles - in several, the incorrect reference is the only one. Thanks. JohnInDC (talk) 13:31, 15 June 2015 (UTC)

The content relating to those subjects does appear elsewhere in the book. Unfortunately, Google Books reverts back to the former page. Packerfansam (talk) 20:10, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
I did added a page number of the Wisconsin Blue Book 1874corr to the Thomas S. Weeks article. The citation is correct but the reader needs to scroll to the correct page. Thank you-RFD (talk) 21:25, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
I am unable to find any reference to "James Lafferty" in the single reference you provided at James Lafferty (Wisconsin). I've noticed the same problem on other articles you've recently created. Can you direct me to the correct page in that article so that I can see what you're looking at? Perhaps I could help fix the references. If you can't do that, then I suggest you stop adding articles about former legislators that are, effectively, without any sources at all. Thanks. JohnInDC (talk) 21:42, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
He appears on pg. 459. Packerfansam (talk) 21:44, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
It's the same problem at Thomas S. Weeks and Samuel L. Plummer, though the latter does have another reference that establishes the basic facts. JohnInDC (talk) 21:45, 17 June 2015 (UTC)

Another example of citation problems in one of these political stubs you created, just today , is James Lafferty (Wisconsin):

  1. The reference you provided is for "John Dunn, Jr.".
  2. You provided no citation for "He later settled in Empire, Wisconsin", yet you not only included this uncited information in this article, you added it as a fact to the Empire, Wisconsin article.
  3. Once again, you left out text in the article regarding this person's Democratic Party (United States) affiliation, similar to how in your flurry of similar (and unashamedly and unexplained by you, biased) edits earlier in the week you'd added party affiliation only if the person was a Republican (and other editors told you already that party affiliation is a key data point that should be included in any of these articles - putting in no affiliation is almost as bad as only putting in affiliation of Republicans.

I have corrected & these problems in this one article. Given the comments above, and the scrutiny your edits are under at Misplaced Pages:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Unexplained_.2F_POV_removal_of_content_by_User:Packerfansam, I implore you to stop creating these stubs (for now, at least) and go back and examine and correct errors in your prior submissions. It is unfair to expect other editors to do this for you, but such errors in such volume can't be allowed to stand. Respectfully, JoeSperrazza (talk) 11:28, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
