The University of Gibraltar is a future University, which will open in September 2015. It will become the first university in the territory, and cost around £10 million to create.

The university is to be modeled on the University of Seychelles. In 2014, the university announced a partnership for collaboration and student exchanges with Gibraltar. It will host the 19th Calpe Conference in September 2015.
