History

Hailey College was emerged on 23 March 2003 by Khalid Maqbool. Hailey College of Banking and Finance has been established as the 5th Constituent College of the University of the Punjab, Lahore. College was inaugurated by Lt. Gen. (R) Khalid Maqbool (formerly Chancellor and Governor Punjab) on March 26, 2003. It is established in renovated old premises of Hailey College of Commerce which was shifted to Quaid-i-Azam (New) Campus, University of the Punjab in 1978.

The College is planning to start Certifications, Diplomas and Short Terms Courses to cater the need of the Trade, Commerce and Industry. Efforts are being made to develop entrepreneurship in the students so that they can undertake their own business work.

  • Won Silver Medal in the Punjab University Inter Collegiate Weight Lifting Championship.
  • Won Silver Medal in the Punjab University Boxing Championship.
  • Won National Silver Medal, National Junior Gold Medal All Pakistan Inter University 2nd Gymnastic and Won Punjab Games Gold Medal in Gymnastics.
  • Won 3rd Position in the Punjab University Table Tennis Boys Championship.
  • Won Silver Medal, Bronze Medals in the Punjab Universities Inter Collegiate Swimming Championship 2009-10.
  • Won 3rd Position in the Punjab University Table Tennis Boys Championship.
  • Won 3rd Position in the Punjab University Badminton Boys Championship.
  • Won Gold Medal in All Pakistan Inter-Universities Badminton Girls Championship.
  • Won Gold Medal in the Pakistan Inter-Universities Basket Ball Championship.
  • Won 3rd Position in All Pakistan Boys Hockey Championship.
  • Won Gold Medal in the Punjab University Girls Hockey Championship.
  • Won Gold Medal in All Pakistan Inter-Universities Girls Cricket Championship.
  • Won Gold Medal in All Pakistan Inter-Universities Girls Football Championship.
  • Won Gold Medal in Inter Collegiate Volley Ball Championship.
  • Won Gold Medal in All Pakistan Inter-Universities Hand Ball Championship.
  • Won Gold and Silver Medals in various competitions in the Punjab University Girls Athletic Championship.
  • Won Gold Medal and Cash Award in Chief Minister’s Sports Cup Tournament.
  • Won medals and prizes in different Quiz and Speech Contests.
  • Students of the College were part of delegation that visited foreign countries under students exchange program.
