Wolfmother is the first full-length album from the Australian three-piece psychedelic rock band Wolfmother. All four tracks previously released on the Wolfmother (EP) ("Woman", "White Unicorn", "Dimension" and "Apple Tree") have been altered slightly from their original versions, re-recorded and released upon this album.
The cover art for this album is taken from "The Sea Witch" by Frank Frazetta. Other Frazetta work appears as internal album art as well. Due to the original cover displaying nudity, the album is sold in Wal-Mart stores with an alternate cover, simply the Wolfmother logo against a black background.
The album was played on high rotation on Triple J whilst also earning the status of feature album of the week.
In 2005, Wolfmother won both the J Award and the listener's choice Album of the Year. Six of the tracks made it into the Triple J Hottest 100, 2005.
