Based in the United Kingdom, Tim is the son of an Anglican priest, and having attended Soul Survivor Watford Church in England, he moved to Holy Trinity Brompton where he is Director Of Worship. He has been known to train worship leaders and musicians as a full-time staff member for Soul Survivor. He is very widely known in Christian music circles.
Tim has released two albums: Here I Am to Worship (2001) and When Silence Falls (2004). His Dove Award-winning song Here I Am to Worship became a very popular worship anthem. Its popularity was helped by leading CCM artist Michael W. Smith who recorded the song for his album Worship Again a year after Hughes released his recording.
Tim released his first book, Passion For Your Name in November 2003.
Recently Tim has been recording a new album at Chapel Lane Studios in Hereford. Tracks include Out Of The Darkness, Happy Day, Centre Of It All, God Of Justice, Everything, The Highest And The Greatest and Clinging To The Cross.
