Video Game Censorship
Seeing as there is an article on video game censorship, shouldn't it be given its own heading under "Censorship by medium"? --76.200.204.148 (talk) 14:34, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
Notification of a TFA nomination
In the past, there have been requests that discussions about potentially controversial TFAs are brought to the attention of more than just those who have WP:TFAR on their watchlist. With that in mind: Fuck: Word Taboo and Protecting Our First Amendment Liberties has been nominated for an appearance as Today's Featured Article. If you have any views, please comment at Misplaced Pages:Today's featured article/requests. — Cirt (talk) 20:28, 1 November 2014 (UTC)
Voroshilov, Molotov, Stalin, with Nikolai Yezhov image
Is reference to the File:Voroshilov, Molotov, Stalin, with Nikolai Yezhov.jpg image a good example of censorship? I would regard it more essentially as being an example of PR and spin and don't see the content as central to the article topic. GregKaye ✍♪ 06:00, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
Category for editing wikipedia articles to remove information or add bias?
Here's something that probably amounts to attempting to suppress an impression:
I'm not sure which of the methods it falls under. Does anyone want to have an opinion? ArthurDent006.5 (talk) 23:28, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
Hypocrisy in Cartoon Censorship
Why doesn't someone mention the hypocritical situation that, in the 2000s, cartoons that could be seen to be negative to black people, Native Americans, Asians, Arabs, smokers, cross-dressers (even though this was common in pantomime), alcholics, women, intellectuals (and those of low intelligence), anyone who looks disabled and who acts without espousing the virtues of their disability, and just about any other concept the politically-correct types despise on any given day, are cut to ribbons or are no longer shown, leaving those containing only (once-censored - irony!) flatulence and gross belching (such as that found at a sleazy hotel on a Saturday night). Oh, don't forget modern teens types 'with attitude' who constantly say 'Duh!' every five minutes, and fat people - why are animators still permitted to make fun of fat people? For this reason I will not let any of my grandchildren watch these low-brow excuses for entertainment. How a child's mind can be expected to think if he is exposed to this tripe is beyond me. How the hell can something that comes out of someone's backside be considered funny? (unless it is a modern 'streetwise' cartoon, of course). If competition with computer games and 'censorship' prevent the creation of quality animated product for fear of offending some group, then DON'T MAKE ANY MORE CHILDREN'S CARTOONS.
Does anyone agree with me? johnr_roberts (talk) 23:00, 18 October 2015 (UTC)
