While no authoritative source identifies the composition of a diablo sandwich, there are several possibilities. An segment of the CMT program Reel Eats used a sloppy joe-style recipe consisting of seasoned ground beef, corn and sour cream. Another proposal, based more closely on images from the film and the shooting location of the scene, is pulled pork and hot sauce on a hamburger bun.
