I tried adding a link to the site ourkids.net and it was removed by an editor. Ourkids.net offers pictures and other information unavailable elsewhere. Why is there no conflict of interest deletion for the link from the commercial site, topprivateschools.ca? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.229.148.229 (talk) 19:42, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

They both appear to not meet the guidelines for External links as per WP:EL#AVOID. I missed the topprivateschools link previously and have removed it now. DoubleBlue (Talk) 04:15, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

This is an incorrect statement. Partly done: I took out the "largest high school rowing regatta in North America", but neither the article source nor yours says it's the largest in British Columbia either. Andrea Pennells is listed as Head of School and she has retired as of July 1st, 2012. Bud Patel is our new Head of School, and his name should replace Andrea Pennells' This is also listed on the main page of our website at www.brentwood.bc.ca

Sustainable buildings In 2003, the T. Gill Bunch Centre was built. This 20,000-square-foot (1,900 m2) performing arts centre houses a theatre in addition to acting, dance, and singing facilities. This building uses a geothermal loop for heating and cooling as part of the school's commitment to sustainable energy. A new dining hall and student services centre was completed in February, 2010. This new facility has been designed to meet Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design standards. Practices have also been taught to the students in order to assist the faculty in consuming less water and electricity.

Curriculum Brentwood offers university preparatory education from grade 9 to 12. Brentwood has been ranked consistently as one of the top academic high schools in British Columbia. Students participate in Brentwood's tripartite programme (academics, arts, and athletics). All graduates attend post-secondary education (87% to their first choice of university). The most popular countries for post-secondary education are Canada, Scotland, England, and the United States.

Brentwood’s 2015 graduates received offers from over 138 universities with 678 offers of admission, including Oxford University, Duke University, Brown University, Colgate University, Queen's University, University of Victoria, University of British Columbia, and University of St Andrews.

Students can take British Columbia provincial examinations, Advanced Placement exams, courses and the American SAT prep tutorials. Rowing Brentwood College has been continuing to gain a sound reputation in the rowing world. Brentwood College graduates include 2008 Beijing Olympic medalists Scott Frandsen (Class of 1998), Dave Calder (Class of 1996) in the Men's Heavyweight 2- event, and Malcolm Howard (Class of 2001) in the Men's Heavyweight 8+ event.

Brentwood has hosted its own regatta annually since the early 1970s, inviting high schools and junior clubs across Canada and the United States to participate in a 1,500 metre sprint. The regatta is held every year in April for three days. The Brentwood regatta is the largest single school hosted athletic event in North America, attracting over 1,700 athletes and 250 coaches in 2015.
