Metal Gear chronology

Note: Please do not include the numbers (MGS2, MGS3 etc). The numbers only refer to the order in which they were released and have nothing to do with the fictional chronology, which is not related (for example MGS3 comes before MGS2). Also, not every game has a number, so they should be left out for the sake of consistency too. Sources: Siliconera, Crunchy Roll, Joystiq, Facebook. The full names and numbers of each game are given in the main template.
