Admitting defeat
I guess you've been right all along. I might have opened a can of worms that I shouldn't have opened in the first place. I'm ready to talk about a compromise.--Keith Okamoto (talk) 22:49, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
- I'm sorry if I came across rude. When I asked you about what you did, I was wondering, asked and told you about our consensus. If I was rude, then I apologize.--Keith Okamoto (talk) 23:27, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
ArbCom elections are now open!
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Topic ban from discography, Bubbling Under charts
Please note that per this close on AN/I you are topic banned from editing discography articles and from making any edits related to Bubbling Under charts and music charting in general, for a period of 1 month. Violating the topic ban will result either in you being blocked from editing, or having the topic ban's duration increased. I advise you to simply remove the relevant articles from your watchlist so you don't accidentally violate your topic ban. Also, please note that 1 month is a relatively short time for a topic ban, and you should view it as a warning shot for the WP:IDHT behavior you demonstrated in this incident.
As always, this topic ban can be appealed at AN/I, but a successful appeal will require you to provide evidence that you are able to listen to, understand, and resolve the concerns of other editors, as opposed to just digging in and defending your original position. ~Awilley (talk) 17:35, 4 February 2016 (UTC)
- Were you aware that this edit violated your topic ban? ~Awilley (talk) 04:17, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
- I wasn't aware that I received a topic ban...that's normally the type of thing you'd ask the person you're banning for their side of the story... Funkatastic (talk) 05:13, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
- There is a link at the beginning of this section to the AN/I thread that led to the ban. Please read it. ~Awilley (talk) 15:41, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
- So a topic ban proposed by people who are in the middle of an edit conflict with me, and I don't even get to post anything on it? Ridiculous. Funkatastic (talk) 22:45, 12 February 2016 (UTC) Also, while topic bans generally include talkpage discussion of the subject matter, I don't see any harm in you discussing the calculations with Kww below. In fact, I'd encourage you to try to resolve the disagreement in a respectful and logical manner. ~Awilley (talk) 04:38, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
- I accepted a long time ago that these people refuse to listen to any arguments other than their own. That's why I gave up a long time ago. Funkatastic (talk) 05:30, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
- It sounds like are you saying that you have given up on listening to anyone's arguments besides your own. Did I get that right? Is that why you blanked Kww's argument instead of replying? ~Awilley (talk) 16:40, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
