Sounds helpful, but do you have any mechanism for preventing frivolous or bad-faith nominations on commons from affecting other sites? Thanks. —freak(talk) 09:26, Aug. 29, 2006 (UTC)

Will this affect images which have a local copy on en:? Kirill Lokshin 12:48, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
Hmm, good question. I think that would depend on whether the CheckUsage toolserver script ignores or conspicuously flags sites that have an image of the same name as the one being queried (I'm assuming it does). I do know that actual similarity of pixels in the images would not be a factor either way. —freak(talk) 12:52, Aug. 29, 2006 (UTC)
