Thank you

Oh, thank you! I've been an experienced contributor to the Spanish Misplaced Pages, where I have dozens of contributions; but now I feel confident with my English to ammend some things I fetch in this Wiki. Can you perform the edition I proposed in the Thatcher's article? Thanks for your welcoming message! Sam10rc (talk) 11:12, 3 July 2016 (UTC)

That is a complex article and I am not particularly familiar with things there. That is best left to the regular editors of the page. I have moved your comment from the top to the bottom where it is most likely to be seen. I have also added the {{edit semi-protected}} template to get the attention of people. CJR2013

After my block removing talk page access, I was writing up my decline reason. Hope you don't mind. --NeilN 14:39, 3 July 2016 (UTC)

I don't mind. I generally avoid that from happening by putting the unblock-on-hold template up before I review their edits, even for simple cases. I figured I should pass onto them the OTRS contact. The volunteers there are used to dealing with folks who lack the social skills to work on wiki.
I very much agree with the removal of the talk page access, was going to do that myself. Given what they were blocked for it probably should have been done up front. HighInBC 14:41, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
Good tip. I'll do that in the future. --NeilN 14:44, 3 July 2016 (UTC)

Greece vs FYROM

Macedonia is not the country but the name of the administrative division of Greece, namely the geographical region . Can yis territories reach and Macedonia but not Macedonian but Slavs . And the United Nations recognizes it as FYROM. These ... Do you want to continue the lesson ; Do you understand; It is rather an insult.--Νικόλας Παπαποστόλου (talk) 07:30, 25 June 2016 (UTC)

You are welcome to make your point on the talk page but this has already been discussed at length and settled. I know you have already seen the link Misplaced Pages:Naming_conventions_(Macedonia)#Greece-related_articles which explains things very well. HighInBC 07:31, 25 June 2016 (UTC)
Note that Nikolas Papapostolou has now broken the Arbcom-imposed 1RR restriction (WP:1RRMAC), despite my warning yesterday. Fut.Perf. 09:21, 25 June 2016 (UTC)
Given I have involved myself in this content dispute I will have to recuse myself from taking any action in this case. HighInBC 14:15, 25 June 2016 (UTC)

I have not seen anything. Well believe the lie , but eventually the truth will shine and will be revealed ! Here the UN itself recognize it as FYROM. PS This is an insult to the Greeks to know .--Νικόλας Παπαποστόλου (talk) 07:01, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

However, the truth is that not Macedonian (at least the majority) but about 90 % are Roma , Vlachs , Slavs etc.--Νικόλας Παπαποστόλου (talk) 07:03, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

Please read WP:TRUTH. You bring us truth, but we do not seek truth. We seek verifiability and neutrality. HighInBC 13:30, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

The truth is that when you sit down to enjoy otherwise pisteietai what you say. how the truth will shine sometime. God loves the thief but loves and homemaker (ie there lie for some time and then the truth will be revealed)--Νικόλας Παπαποστόλου (talk) 16:21, 30 June 2016 (UTC)

President of the Republic of Greece said it would not let so become the thing.--Νικόλας Παπαποστόλου (talk) 16:24, 30 June 2016 (UTC)

What do you want from me? HighInBC 16:57, 30 June 2016 (UTC)

All I want is to believe me and let my version in section Greece . Ok?--Νικόλας Παπαποστόλου (talk) 06:15, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

It is not a question of believing you. This is something that was settled through consensus prior to your edit. I don't think you are going to get your desired outcome here. HighInBC 06:32, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

Nah and why not? Only your will be done here? Misplaced Pages the 💕 . Do you all (most , actually) in a lie . It is a lie what not understand?--Νικόλας Παπαποστόλου (talk) 07:02, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

It is not my decision, I could not give you your preferred version if I wanted to. Please stow your attitude, if you want to change the article got to the article talk page. HighInBC 07:08, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

Probably not everybody know your story. The Macedonian kingdom was Greek. when there probably was not even Slavs. You know the 'Macedonians do so? I guess not. Because they had no history and want to have, and so they took the story of their neighbors. And why had not history? (you ask me). Because they had not yet discovered writing (while Alexander had biographers and wrote what he did so we know what we did) so Cyril and Methodius (from Byzantine history) went the built alphabet, taught them Christianity etc. Got it now? Even with questioning ?--Νικόλας Παπαποστόλου (talk) 08:00, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

Look you are not the first person to come to Misplaced Pages with their nationalist beliefs. This decision was not made out of ignorance. This is not my decision it was made by the community.
I am not particularly interested in your opinions on the country of Macedonia. I get that you don't like the name they chose, just because you don't like it does not make it not so. Please drop the stick and walk away from the dead horse. HighInBC 13:41, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

Because in emptied of views but that's why you say that. And Aida from now that would say nationalist . The truth only say this , and because you do not like about what you say and because they serve interests while I serve the interests of truth ! Now let sticks and dead horses and donkeys and hear will come out a winner and would now believe the truth ! And I do not say the only to you I say to all of you to learn the truth at last ! And I do not say the view of Greece say in terms of truth and neither nationalist nor nationalistic and say away from ' me them. Wake eh ! You have to say something else?--Νικόλας Παπαποστόλου (talk) 18:34, 3 July 2016 (UTC)

And will not stop until you know . The teacher waited and clung to understand the students , a? I play the teacher simply liken the situation .--Νικόλας Παπαποστόλου (talk) 18:37, 3 July 2016 (UTC)

I am getting the impression that neither of us is understanding the other. I am certainly having trouble parsing what you are saying. I assume you are having trouble understanding me. I am not sure how to tell you that your nationalist opinions are not relevant to an encyclopedic article. HighInBC 18:43, 3 July 2016 (UTC)

I said I'm not a nationalist nor nationalistic views . It's true opinions and the side of truth . It seems you have trouble understanding and not me . You do not understand anything of all what to say so long? Probably not. Well stay on lies. Poor truth but what blame you believe the lie ? Nothing. You wait to the believe it! FYROM FYROM again ! No Macedonia . Insult to the Greek , obscene name .--Νικόλας Παπαποστόλου (talk) 22:53, 3 July 2016 (UTC)

You say that you understand me, but you keep chanting the mantra of "truth" at me, even though I have already explained my position on "truth". You say you understand me, but I have already explained that this is not my decision but rather the decision of the community. I really don't think you are understanding me, and if you are understanding me then you are choosing not to. HighInBC 23:06, 3 July 2016 (UTC)

User:Jimbo Wales

Could you consider pending changes here as full protection is a bit steep? Most of the nonsense is coming from IPs.--♦IanMacM♦ 20:47, 3 July 2016 (UTC)

Jimbo being an admin can edit through the protection. Is there a pressing need for other people to edit this users page? I will review the history of disruption that page to see if semi-protection is sufficient, but pending changes seems an ill fit. HighInBC 20:49, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
@Ianmacm: PC won't work outside of articles. --NeilN 20:50, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
I have reduced it to semi-protection based on the history of the page. Unless people circumvent it that should be enough. Thanks for the advice. HighInBC 20:52, 3 July 2016 (UTC)

OK thanks. Nonsense on Jimbo's user page is nearly always IPs or throwaway accounts. Semi-protection would be enough.--♦IanMacM♦ 20:53, 3 July 2016 (UTC)

I would recommend re-applying the move=sysop (indefinite) which has been there for more than a decade :) -- zzuuzz 21:01, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
Good point! HighInBC 21:04, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
