After leaving BBC London he took a new position with BBC Coventry & Warwickshire but left after a month because of BBC guidelines meaning he couldn't work for another media organisation (he was writing a column in The Sun newspaper). He continues to write a column for the The Sun London newspaper and hosts a mid-morning current affairs show on talkSPORT, where he likes his listeners to refer to him as "Gaunty".
