Sterling Payment Technologies
Hello Jim. I am a relatively new user. I have been trying to submit a page for Sterling Payment Technologies. I recently submitted a draft, which was denied for submission and then deleted by you sometime today. It was flagged for G11 and G12. I wanted to discuss this further to get to the bottom of why you flagged it for those reasons and what I can do to get this page accepted. I appreciate any and all help you can offer. Thank you. Nicobryan (talk) 19:33, 28 October 2016 (UTC)
- Nicobryan I am the user who tagged it as such because it was not only blatant advertising but it was also literal word-for-word advertising from the company's own website, that is not tolerated and any attempts shall have deletion and, with persistence, locking. Even if they were not copypasted contents, they would not be acceptable because (hence what I said earlier) it would still be advertising and it would not matter even if you are the website's owner. As with any Draft and article, it's best to only start with the best basics which is in-depth third-party news sources overall, but not press releases, news about funding, financing and partnerships, trivial passing mentions, interviews or other triviality about the company itself. Note also this user has literally submitted the same G12 contents at 2 different places, see talk page. SwisterTwister talk 04:49, 29 October 2016 (UTC)

- Copyrighted text is not allowed in Misplaced Pages. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain.
- You did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the company, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the company claims or interviewing its management.
- There weren't even any facts to show notability as defined above, just a promotional claim of what you sell
- You have an obvious conflict of interest when it comes to editing articles about this subject. If you work directly or indirectly for the company, or otherwise are acting on its behalf, you are very strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly. Regardless, if you are paid directly or indirectly by the company you are writing about, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Nicobryan. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Nicobryan|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block. Please do not edit further until you respond to this message.

- I also came across Draft:Sterling Payment Technologies Draft1. That's five attempts now, and that name seems designed to avoid surveillance. I've imposed a short block so that you can think where you are going with this. If you try to evade the block before it expires, you may be blocked indefinitely Jimfbleak - talk to me? 05:42, 29 October 2016 (UTC)

Samir Farag
Dear Jimfbleak, We've added references. We represent Dr. Samir's Office and we welcome any visual verification through video calls. We have an article "لواء دكتور سمير فرج" and we've been directed to an article "سمير فرج". We don't want this redirection since we're the holder of the name and so we own the copyright. So please adjust the Arabic version. Best Regards, Samir Farag Office
- Dr. Samir FaragI'm not sure what you are asking me. I don't edit Arabic Misplaced Pages, and you can't have article titles in Arabic script on English Misplaced Pages. Also, you cannot have ranks, titles or qualifications in article titles on English Misplaced Pages, so it's Barack Obama, George S. Patton, Albert Einstein, not President, General, Professor; or Gen. Dr.
- I deleted your article because
- it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that he meets the notability guidelines. It is now Misplaced Pages policy that biographical articles about living people must have independent verifiable references, as defined in the link, or they will be deleted. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to him, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what he claims or interviewing him.
- your so-called reference was a spam link that didn't support any of the text. In any case, references must be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting.
- it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: first officer appointed to this position from non-NATO countries and the British Commonwealth... He took over many of the key positions... Many prominent political and military figures were his students... author of many books — and so on, it's just self promotion, with no references to support any of the text.
- the article was a copyright violation. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Misplaced Pages, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain; You actually claim copyright on it, so obviously not PD. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Misplaced Pages, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.
- You have a conflict of interest when editing this article and you must declare it. He is clearly notable, so you could, if you wish, post a request at Misplaced Pages:Requested articles for the article to be created. See also Misplaced Pages:Best practices for editors with conflicts of interest.
- We have an article...— no, you don't. Misplaced Pages has an article about him which you don't own. Anyone can make valid edits to any article.
- Since you work for him and therefore have a conflict of interest, you are very strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly. Regardless, since you are paid directly or indirectly by him, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Jimfbleak. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Jimfbleak|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please provide the required disclosure. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block. Please do not edit further until you respond to this message.

Dear Jimfbleak, I donated twice for Misplaced Pages because my son found persons and places to aid in his report in "Social Studies". Don't worry about "Conflict of Interest" because I'll not be paid. Thanks to Misplaced Pages
- 156.194.125.40 You can sign your comments automatically using four tildes ~~~~ If you are the editor Dr. Samir Farag, you said you worked for his office, and edited as "we", so you have a conflict of interest anyway, and working in an office presupposes payment. It's good that you have donated, but it doesn't change the points I made above. If you are not Samir Farag, I don't know what you are asking Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:34, 30 October 2016 (UTC)
