Template:Pokémon TCG Set

EX Legend Maker is based on Pokémon found in the depths of hidden areas of the Pokémon world. Due to a mix-up with translations, this was delayed until February 2006 in English-language territories. Its symbol is a stylized forest, a white egg-shaped area with three black acute isosceles triangles to represent the trees (or possibly Regirock, Regice, and Registeel, the *-Pokémon in this deck, and the Guardians of the Tree of World's Beginning, as seen in the 9th movie: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew). It received the name Legend Maker due to the inclusion of Mew.

The set is currently part of the 2006-2007 Modified Format.

Types of Pokémon in EX Legend Maker

Pokémon-ex

Pokémon-ex are incredibly powerful. Their HP are usually far above that of their regular form, and they are much stronger. On occasions, some Pokémon-ex, such as Steelix ex, have two Resistances, and some have no Weakness. Some, however, such as Dustox ex, have two Weaknesses, putting them at a disadvantage. Another disadvantage of Pokémon-ex is that when Knocked Out, the player who has done so must take two Prize cards instead of the usual one.

Pokémon-*

Pokémon-* tend to be fairly similar to Pokémon-ex in that their HP are sometimes elevated and they can sometimes be stronger than their regular counterparts. However, this is not as regular in Pokémon-* as it is in Pokémon-ex. Pokémon-* usually appear in sets in groups of three; for example, Mudkip, Treecko and Torchic and Regirock, Regice and Registeel. Only one Pokémon-* may be put in a deck, regardless of whether it is a 30-card deck or a 60-card deck.

Delta Species Pokémon

Only one Delta Species Pokémon resides in the set: Pikachu, the Metal-type box topper available with booster boxes. It is available because Legend Maker was originally supposed to introduce the Delta Species Pokémon - whereas it did in Japan, in English-language territories it was delayed, causing EX Delta Species to introduce the new species.

Fossil Pokémon

Root Fossil (Lileep), Claw Fossil (Anorith), and Mysterious Fossil (Aerodactyl, Omanyte, Kabuto) return. Mysterious Fossil has been strengthened to 50HP from its original 10HP.
