This template is used to provide links to memorial details in the National Inventory of Canadian Military Memorials database maintained by Veterans Affairs Canada at http://www.veterans.gc.ca/eng/remembrance/memorials/national-inventory-canadian-memorials.

Usage

{{National Inventory of Canadian Military Memorials|id=|title=|access-date=}}
  • id: (optional) the number found in the URL for the memorial (see "Examples" below)
  • title: (optional) the title of the page; takes the form 'Memorial 47009-019 Saskatoon, SK', can be added to manually to form a more descriptive title.
  • access-date: (optional) the date the information was retrieved from the website
  • fewer-links: (optional) set |fewer-links=yes to disable wikilinks and prevent overlinking, i.e. if the template is used more than once in an article
  • mode: (optional) set |mode=cs2 to make the template compatible with Citation Style 2; defaults to Citation Style 1

Examples

The url for Soldiers' Tower is http://www.veterans.gc.ca/eng/remembrance/memorials/national-inventory-canadian-memorials/details/5779

Extract the 5779 and use this number for the |id= parameter and include the title and date the website was accessed, i.e.

{{National Inventory of Canadian Military Memorials|id=5779|title=35091-009 Toronto, ON|access-date={{date}}}}, which displays as

"35091-009 Toronto, ON". National Inventory of Canadian Military Memorials. Veterans Affairs Canada. Retrieved 29 December 2024.

Example using a descriptive title:

{{National Inventory of Canadian Military Memorials|id=5779|title=35091-009 Toronto, ON (Soldier's Tower)|access-date={{date}}}}, which displays as
