Deletion Sorting Project |

|
This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to the Philippines. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- Edit this page and add {{Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Philippines|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to the Philippines. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Misplaced Pages:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.
- Further information
- For further information see Misplaced Pages's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.

V-Mall
non-notable shopping center. Nekohakase 18:18, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
- Comment: The article as it currently exists doesn't add anything of value, and reads like advertising. This might potentially be salvaged if some kind soul went through, cut out all the trivial details about individual stores, and re-focused the article on the major software piracy ring that was based there (as described in this link, among other places). Even then, it'd be borderline, though. -Hit bull, win steak 18:36, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

*Delete as a non-notable mall. Malls are almost inherently non-notable and nothing here is at all a claim to notability. JoshuaZ 03:08, 20 September 2006 (UTC) Smerge Since there is a logical target article. I'd rather not have it either but we might as well stick this there for now. - Merge (partially) and redirect to Greenhills Shopping Center per Kappa. Silensor 02:09, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
- So this isn't an entire mall, it is a piece of a mall, which also has its own article (rightly or wrongly). Smerge to the real mall per Kappa. GRBerry 12:22, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
- Merge and redirect --Peta 04:15, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Mistula
At first, this seemed like just another band vanity page, and after the creator didn't respond to my comments on their talk page, I speedied it. However, the creator left some comments on my talk page, and I now believe that this article could actually stay on Misplaced Pages. I'm putting it up for AFD, but abstaining from voting since I'm a bit ambiguous on this. I'll let you guys decide. - ulayiti (talk) 15:42, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
- KEEP I believe this article should stay on Misplaced Pages for the following reasons: 1. This is not a vanity or promotional page for the band. 2. This article provides information about the first virtual/concept band in the Philippines and their achievements. 3. It focuses on a band that is pioneering a new genre in the Philippine music scene. 4. Mistula gives a glimpse of the current innovations that impact the Philippine rock scene. 5. This supports the Misplaced Pages article virtual band, where Mistula was used as an example. --Webmessiah 18:09, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Webmessiah
- Weak keep appears to have received attention from MTV Philippines, a google search also backs this.--Andeh 18:16, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
- Keep As Webmessiah stated, Mistula is the first virtual band in the Philippines, and they are indeed pioneering a new genre in the local music scene. Their music says a lot about the Filipino faith and culture. Not only are they well-known in the Philippines, but are also known internationally due to the fact that they web-based and accessible to everyone. Silentaria 16:09, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
- Keep Info is accurate, support can be backed up from mentioned sources (MTV Philippines, Myx, Pinoy Radio, Rakista, Philmusic). Google search displays snippets of band info, this article collects and sums up everything and therefore helpful to both old and new followers of the band and the genre they have created --Puppet Prophet 18:48, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Puppet Prophet
- Keep especially per Webmessiah #5 above. And seems notable enough. Dina 23:02, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
- Keep per Webmessiah's five reasons. Plus it has placed in international competitions. GBYork 00:12, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
- Keep as Mistula is part of the Misplaced Pages entry for Pinoy rock
- Keep This is a valid band page, plus it forms a necessary part of the Virtual Band article. --JB Adder | Talk 14:28, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
- Keep This is also a great reference on the influence of the web and how the band has used this to reach an international audience. It also links in with Super Dollfie, Ball-jointed doll Cresh24 15:02, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

Zines philippines
Zero useful information; little context, and likely an attempt at passing off inclusion of non-notable zines as notable. (|-- UlTiMuS 19:47, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- Delete per nom, although I must disagree with the "little context" part. Awyong Jeffrey Mordecai Salleh 19:51, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
